Yep sadly. IIRC Dragon's Dogma didn't have any, but it did install files in the background on the HDD, it's just that you didnt see it :/

Before jumping into conclusions and quoting just a single sentence from my post, please read the whole topic we were discussing about : I was implying that the HD textures on some XBOX360 games are on another disc, like BF3, MOH, and Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen.... I wasn't implying that 360 gets shitty textures because of the DVD. Dev always manage to put the same textures as on PS3 somehow, and will use another DVD if needed.
Because it makes games sometimes >7GB, XBOX360 needs another disc to store these textures in these games. Obviously, since PS3 can hold 25GB, only 1 disc is enough...
So all this to say : the PS3 version won't need you to pull any trick to have "HD textures", these are already on the 25GB bluray and don't need any special installation.

Always? I've read numerous PS3 vs Xbox360 comparisons and 360 often wins in terms of textures quality. I guess the PS3 must have some pretty shitty HD textures then  And yeah i own both consoles, that's why i always read those boring (imo) "Face Off's" before deciding which version to get. In the case of DD the PS3 version was both slower and uglier. It was a no-brainer to order the 360 version of Dark Arisen, imo.. |

Most people don't understand that fact that game devs have readily tools available for Xbox 360 Games Microsoft .Net Architecture is one example and that too at lower cost compared to PS3 tools which are Sony owned and are expensive and to add there are few people/talent who has worked on those tools.
Hence all game devs work on 360 console and since 360 has 3 cores they distributes the threads between 3 cores only but when they port to PS3 these threads are not equally divided between 7/8 cores which PS3 has hence all multi-platform PS3 games looks shit.

Grabbed the iMARS version. Spent about an hour so far extracting the 47,000 files onto my external HDD.
So is disc 2 just the installer? If I run that from my ext HDD, then copy over the disc 1 files to my xbox should I be good to go?

Has anyone got the texture pack to install yet? I have tried launching as normal in FSD but I get an error saying cant load data disk. I tried deleting and extracting again but got the same error.
I then tried taking out the the texture pack and sticking it in my XBLA folder and install it like I was playing an arcade game, but this then wanted me to load the game and it took me back to the proper xbox dash.
