I don't like the sound of "faster resources gathering" is this true ? i liked this "slower" gameplay in COH than let's say in DOW :/

Played yesterday couple hours and noticed these...
- Resource gathering is super derp, way too fast
- FoV is odd
- Animations are horrible, looks like they are rendered with like 15-30fps (game itself runs solid 60fps maxed out)
- Effects are horrible (explosions etc...), like stop motion animation @ 5fps
- Graphics overall are shit
Considering this is 2013 PC only title, it looks just horrible :/ Game itself plays like original COH, but it has some derpness on it.

I find it worse then the older games which were great but dated now just looks a reskinned rip off to me i wont be paying 40 quid for sure maybe if the price comes down but this has to be the most xpensive game so for pc and on steam?
If this is all they can do they can do one, it doesnt deserve to sell imo.

You can select fast and slow resource gathering.
Yes, graphics look pretty bad, but honestly, I don't care. Gameplay wise it seems rock solid.
PC: Yes. Console: No.

for the resource gathering try playing on the slow huge steppes map usually takes ages even on high starting resources to even get anywhere

Just played one round yesterday, and was pretty disappointed.
Like others said, graphics are not really good. IIRC the other COHs look better.
Everything else seems to pretty much be exactly the same as before.
I was really excited for the new COH. But the beta changed it.
And i really doubt, they will improve it noticable.

Been playing the beta...
Its nowhere bear as bad as people here are saying
The last thing we wanted was for them to ruin a series by changing the core gameplay (like the did with DOW2) .. this is a nice little upgrade without ruining the gameplay
-Sound is also WAY better..
-The winter/snow dynamic changes the game in big ways
-There are more Units
-There are more graphical effects
There are balance issues (Eg Mortars OPed) , but that shit will get tweaked and changed
Hell they are still releasing giant updates for the orig games tweaking things....

I came to the conclusion that I'll stick with CoH after experiencing the Alpha and Beta...

today's patch slightly buffed russian at tanks and nerfed mortars / flamers slightly (minus german flamer trucks which are still broken as hell if you know how to play em...)
