got some on my samsung LED HDTV, its just part of the technology really. On my samsung you only notice it when the whole picture is black, moment its anything but black you could never tell, so im fine with it. and its not like the "clouds" are bright, its just not as pitchblack as the rest.

I got some couple years old Samsung 42", it has some PVA panel, black is incredible, its pretty much pitch black, also it doesnt have any clouding / backlight bleed. Im really surprised considering it only costed 450€ back then.

Looks like I'll be getting the new Dell 30" 2560x1660 U3014.. Have a Dell discount + Free Shipping so likely will grab it as its the best 30" out there + has a 4port USB3 hub.. and more.
Then I look at those Korean 30" for 1/3 the cost.. but note the likely hell of unreliability of those things people reported..

LED is a backlighting technology of LCDs, just like fluorescent.

Dell 30" U3014 just came in... tinkered with it last night.. man what a beast! Expensive as holy f*ck but if you get some dell discounts (ie. coupons and free shipping) it really drops the cost. Sweet screen.. not so much a gamer's LED but its superior Dell quality so..
