So as some know I got a new PC a week ago.

specs:
Asrock Pro3-M
i5 3570K
MSI 660GTX 2GB
8GB DDR3 1333 (1 slot)
500W PSU

Problem:
Got 3 games installed atm.
LoL, Farcry 3, Bioshock Infinite.
Lol Has no problems, can play for hours and hours.
The other 2 just randomly close itself and then it says something like farcry.exe stopped working. Same goes for Bioshock.
This can happen after 2 hours of playing or after 15 minutes, seems totally random.

Stuff I did:
Installed W7 64bit ultimate, updated it including SP1.
Got nothing OC'd (as far as I know).
Updated Bios to see if that helped.
Tried running both games with compatibility settings as some sites suggested.
All drivers are installed according to device manager.

Clueless what might be the problem.
Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

huh? i said and checked that DLL ... all was fine for other that used the same file

so i changed the game directory and reinstalled them on a SATA ... and game started fine Laughing

guess your not the only one that has the same issue http://forums.ubi.com/archive/index.php/t-736779.html

GUESS WHAT WAS THE PROBLEM

NoT THE DLL BUT WINDOWS USERS PERMISSIONS

those two games have some fucked up installers that fucked up User Permissions and disabled administrative right from the main EXE

He can start them fine.
Actually I've no idea. Doesn't look like a common problem.
Did you install all the stuff that comes with the games (visual c, directx etc etc)?
Did you check your RAM? Even if it's new, it doesn't mean it's working like it should.
Are all your drivers up to date (motherboard, soundcard for example)?

My guess is on the RAM.

The only thing i can think off might be power usage that peaks during those games, but not during LoL (as LoL barely req graphics power).
Tho 500w should be enough..

What temp is your Graphic Card running when playing Bioshock? Have you tried playing with lower graphical settings to see if the problems persist? Have you tried beta drivers?

Not sure atm if I solved it but tried running the other .exe from farcry3 (without the dx11) and I've been playing for quiet some time without problems.

Gonna try Bioshock later again.

Otherwise I will try some of the stuff posted here.

I like how everytime people write about their PSU, its like this "xxx watts psu", doesnt tell anything about the PSU. It might be quality one which runs any card out there, even most CF/SLI setups, then it might be some chinese bomb which annihilates whole block when it goes off (500w chinese gives like 100W real wattage Laughing). Anyway i doubt its PSU issue since the game just crashes, usually when PSU is not up for the task, PC completely freezes or just shuts off. Are these cracked games? Are you using proper drivers for them? A.K.A the latest. Do you get "display driver stopped responding and has recovered"?.
