I understand what you mean and agree with what you say but I want to keep the PS3 legit and the 360 I expect to fail at some point soon as its an really old model.

Why not get cheap 360 RGH ?
I dont think my girlfriend would like me buying another console besides I dont play games as much as I used to believe it or not! I usually get about 4 hours a day since becoming a family guy lol. And that includes sleep deprivation as a sacrifice! Before I moved out of my parents house I probably played games for 10 hours a day!
I know I spend a lot of money on games and that you guys are trying to help by encouraging piracy lol. I appreciate that but one day there will be a time when games are not free downloads available days or weeks before retail.
Having bought games a lot I do appreciate them more and having a game case and manual makes a difference than a recordable disc with my writing scrawled on it.
Just completed it. Wow. The twists really got me. Even though I tried to guess the ending throughout the game, I didn't see that coming.
For all the guys who have finished it already (MAJOR SPOILERS!!!)
Spoiler:
I loved that you made a short trip to rapture at the end, ah nostalgia . And what do you think the ending means? Just some sort of Limbo or is there still a version of booker somehow? And why did the twins get you to columbia 20 years later in the first place? What did they gain by doing that? Just offering you a chance for redemption?

Well the voxophones have some info on that. From what I understand, having recently finished it, it's like this:
The brothers aren't really brothers just different version of each other from different unverses; let's call them Letuce Female and Letuce Male.
Letuce F is from Comstock's universe and Letuce M is from Booker's universe (where he never became Comstock -- and I assume there's no Columbia there either).
Now Comstock couldn't have a child with his wife so he "stole" Booker's; I assume that plan came from Letuce F that talked about it with Letuce M.
Now what did they had to gain by fixing all this? Well, there's a tape with Letuce F saying how Letuce M wants to correct that mistake. Now what she means by mistake is unclear as to weather it's from a moral or scientifically point of view.
So basically: a) either Letuce M started to have feelings of remorse or b) due to the fact the girl didn't belong there, but was being kept there, anomalies started to occur - like those red tears - or c) maybe both.
Yeah, there's a lot of stuff unexplained or maybe I've missed it. Is the Columbia you start in Booker's universe or are you taken to another universe? It has to be, as the only way there can be a Columbia is with Comstock - who is Booker after the baptism - but how does that make for Elizabeth to develop these special abilities?!
What cause, if any, did the finger play in this, did it create some paradox because she was in two universes at the same time?
And how is killing him at the end saves the other universes/kills Comstock everywhere for good?!
But yeah, fantastic game! Really enjoyed it, the story, the music, the overall feeling, the gameplay and everything about it. Definitively a GOTY contender!

But how does teleporting booker into the future and helping him to get to his now adult daughter help? Since apparently they are pretty comfortable with using tears, couldn't they just have stopped their own male self from getting the kid instead of letting booker kill thousands and probably causing trouble by creating new tears with liz?
I think the reason for killing booker is that every decision we make creates an infinite number of new versions, like tree branches spreading out. Maybe they just killed the one version of booker which decided to get baptised therefore eliminating all of the branches that could arise from that. Further that might explain the scene after the credits, since that's a version of booker that hasn't been baptised and due to comstock booker never beeing created, the child was never taken, therefore it's crying from the room.
And come to think of it, maybe the Letuces knew that this would be the overall outcome if they set all this in motion by taking booker 20 years into the future and sending him on this quest. It was needed to make liz understand and be ready to kill booker.
I`m still playing Gears of War but last night I turned on Bioshock and wow I love it, yet I finish Gears first and then keep going with this fantastic game.
Install a truncated build, insert a burnermax disk in the drive, do the mp3 trick then hit play game (even if no cover image is displayed on the play game icon)
Despite our concerns with performance on console, Irrational Games still manages to deliver an engrossing experience across all formats, where the core experience is so strong that the game is an essential purchase no matter which platform you own. The extra clarity afforded by the PC version better represents the stylised artwork on offer, while smoother frame-rates certainly make the combat sequences so much more enjoyable to play, with more responsive controls delivering an extra dimension of precision needed in fast-paced shoot-outs. If you have the hardware capable of running the game smoothly, the PC version is the game to buy.
However, the console releases are still outstanding releases that come highly recommended. The shooting isn't as much fun when frame-rates are crashing down but most of the other elements that help make BioShock Infinite such an accomplished release are fully in effect. The more responsive PS3 game gets the nod for delivering a more consistent, flowing gameplay experience. The addition of tearing isn't particularly attractive, but the extra controller response is preferable during intense combat scenes. Alternatively, those especially susceptible to screen-tear may prefer the 360 version, despite it featuring heavier dips in performance in more demanding scenes.
Overall, BioShock Infinite is certainly one of the most entertaining games we've played in a long, long while. At its core, the power/weapon-based combat is similar to previous games in the series, but what sets this sequel apart is how all the different elements come together coherently to form a compelling, irresistible experience, where Elizabeth takes centre stage. Impressive AI and animation are combined with excellent dialogue and delivery that help to give her real character throughout the whole adventure, even if some of the gameplay mechanics surrounding her are a little underused. What we love most about BioShock Infinite is the way in which technology and game design come together to deliver a unique experience. With this philosophy in mind, we're excited by the possibilities next-gen platforms represent to a developer like Irrational. Let's hope we don't need to wait another five years to see its next game...
Finished it yesterday after several days on and off. Now all I need is somewhere I can read what the fuck that was all about.
By the way, finished it without getting all tapes/telescopes and powerups. Can I just play each chapter again as I please to boost what I have? Or do they want another full play through?.
My tip to anyone about to start: Buy power ups (weapons upgrades or vigors) as soon as and whenever you can. No point sitting on the money, it serves no other purpose than to be deducted when you die. If I could start out again I'd work my way up from cheapest item available.
You can hear Song Bird dying in the background in Bioshock 1 during the scene where Fitzpatrick is struggling to play the piano. Not only can you hear song bird dying, Fitzpatrick just happens to be wearing a bird mask.
That means Booker and Elizabeth were in rapture at the same time during the events of Bioshock 1. Or is this an April fools shit? Several videos of the same scene in Bioshock has the Song Bird screaming in the background.
Use headphones and go to the 0:14 second and listen. What do you think? Makes me want to replay Bioshock 1 again.
Finished it yesterday... great game, but I must admit I'm confused about the story, lots of unexplained motivations and unanswered questions... to me the whole endeavor seemed pointless by the end, considering how the Bioshock universe seems to "work"... maybe I just didn't get it
Here's another talk about Infinite. DO NOT WATCH IT IF YOU HAVE NOT FINISHED INFINITE. You should watch it if you did though, some interesting talk about plot points and characters.

a) I think at some point this is also some sort of an experiment for the Letuces. They seem to be observing/taking probability bets based on Booker's actions.
b) I doubt that, you can't stop "infinite". Somewhere there's at least another Booker going/ has gone on the same path. And I think the sequence at the end, in that room, is the start of another similar story.
c) I don't know about that, I think that's a moment where the Letuces have no involvement, and it's just Booker and Ana/Elizabeth's moment. But I really don't know.
