No, manual log in always. I broke down and saved the login info so all I have to do is double click in the login box and go. Keep your stinkin cookies.

The new cookies seem to have a very short expiration period. They last for about 30 hours since login, and than the browser gets rid of them.
AFAIR validity period is a parameter to php cookie functions. It should be set to something reasonable (e.g. a month), so that you do not have to log in every two days, but to remove unused cookies after some time.

*sigh*
Alright, i just made some modifications again. Also please check that your date and time is set correctly on your windows machine (check that you arent living in the future or past, ie: 2006) and make sure you arent telling your browser to discard the cookies (firefox: Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> Cookies -> Keep Cookies: Untill they expire)

I've got my Firefox set up just the way you mention, the thing is - this is the only forum I'm on (out of five) that can't handle cookies properly.
This is a server-side issue.
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.
