awww man i really want to try this game out. peter realy knows how to sell his games i mean look at fable ffs. btw i am alos one of the ppl that bought both b&w and fable Sad

in game number 1 it really did get very repetative, and teaching your creature was such a chore, also having your creature be evil and not be a fucking homocidal retard was impossible.

i really hope they change the control mechanics as i always felt in b&w they should have just used simpler old rts controls with the functions at the bottom of the screen instead of the flags thing we had, since a flag meant 1000 different things yet you only wanted to do one.

also the building blocks thing....simple rts stuff would have been better + less micro.

Come on Peter Molenuyx is so overrated... What has the man ever given us? Bugs, bugs, bugs, more bugs and sucky "this was fun for 4 days"-gameplay. All his games gets hyped to death, everybody talks about him and his games and STILL not a SINGLE ONE of his games has been truly creative and great. Not one.

But I am still kinda waiting for B&W2 for some strange reason. B&W1 had much potential but they screwed it making it almost complete POS.
Fable? Pfffft gimme a break here, freedom my ass and sucky story. The whole games was worthless and I could not be more happy I did not buy it.

Now stop hyping Peter and realize that the day he releases a game that actually is good, has all the features presented and working, hell will freeze, pigs will fly and Sublime will remove his sig... Very Happy

yea in the dev diary of BW2 they said that there was too much macro management BW1 which made you feel like a servant instead of a god. they also said that the amount of time for management on your creature and city will be decreased darasticly in BW2. thats why im looking forward to the game Very Happy

Seriously?
Populus, Syndicate Wars, Theme Park/Hospital, and my favourite; dungeon keeper.(He probably was working on other games too but these are the ones i remember).

Syndicate Wars/Theme Hospital was really great games too. And although i agree that Black & White was a lot overhyped it wasn't a "bad" game, so i believe in Black & White 2.

Which, btw, is out 27th september Smile

Idiot, you have no idea. You think the only games Molyneux created are B&W and Fable? Maybe you should actually know what you're talking about before you spurt out some crap.

Molyneux has a history of breaking new ground in gameplay just as Carmack has a history of breaking new ground in programming. I am still waiting for an update to Powermonger.

LOL Indeed nice cover, hope they start working on the bugs...from what I've seen at the E3 presentation B&W 2 had some serious issues regarding stabilit(the game crashed during presentatio) and...is it me or the game had also problems regarding frame rates.
Peter Molyneux is a inovator...to bad it didn't work out with B&W.I waited a long time for that game but I had a very annoying bug regarding the creature learning system -> every time I advanced to the next island my creature forgot everything I learned. They eventualy fixed that in a patch but I was to frustrated at that time to continue playing.
I hope they keep B&W2 original instead of going for the RTS genre.

Me too dude.

I hope they make the creature learning system better...like honestly, I dont want to have to slap my creature everytime it shits in town to teach it not to shit in town. That type of stuff could have been done auto for u after u slap him once or twice....way too much micro managing and the camera angles pissed me off from time to time

I think that B&W 2 should scrap the use of animals and use a human(like) character as ur "god on earth" instrument. Exactly like the animal system, just a human who becomes strong and changes based on ur actions and what it does or doesnt do...it have a much more...authentic? feel to it...

Lol I just wanna make a bad ass evil Jesus character Laughing

The one thing that I think will save this game for many is the fact that training and handling your pet has become a heck of a lot easier. Now you actually get a response right away if the pet have learned or not. And you can even turn the pet "off" so to speak Very Happy

Really looking forward to this game now Smile

Updated the original post with a template.

Here is some interesting read about the future of B&W, they are planning to make 5 parts, the game eventually will end up in our time and they are planning to discard the creatures Shocked

Why do I seriously doubt this ??.p
Don't get me wrong, I hope it is true but looking at the screenshots I would say that the specs are higher.
Let's just hope they have optimised the engine.

Yeah, didn't Molyneux tell us that shortly after the release of B&W?

Well, Molyneux has said that the game has the same specs as HL2, if you run HL2 you will run B&W2, if you run it will you will run B&W2 well.
