by its very nature 10/10 means "perfect, without flaws or niggles".. which is pretty much impossible - review scores over about 8 mean a game is worth checking out, I ignore reviews over 9 or 90%

I hear this all the time, which is ofcourse ridiculous. A 10/10 does not mean perfect.

If this game would be released in the 70s during the time of PONG, then it would get a 25/10, but no one would say it's perfect, because improvements can always be made (for example, when you open a trashbin, they could improve that you encounter random and different trash than all the other trashbins!)

Enfin, cant wait to get my hands on this game. Smile

Actually is not if you played the first Bioshock on hard difficulty. I'm looking forward to some kind of tweak to unlock this early.

ok fine but i think youre kinda missing the spirit of my post...

1999 mode forces you to specialise, so youre missing out on a lot of the experimentation and variety that comes from being able to pick everything, so its a challenging, yes, but much more rigid experience - and to me, thats the kind of thing id be eager to play after ive had the kid-in-a-candy-store experience... thats what i was getting at with my post.

i was not debating about what things have greater merit in how one enjoys a game.

Oh I completly understood you, I was just explaining why I will play the 1999 mode. Its not because I'm an uber gamer the same way you aren't a derp if you aren't playing it. There's no contempt in my tone (unless your counting my non serious playful trolish post which is just me being happy about having a mode named after what i consider one of the best years in gaming), and don't see any in yours. we are just discussing who plays how and for what reason.

Adaptive training keeps telling you how to do things you’ve done many times, but annoyingly it’s the only source of useful information about how critical hits work on certain enemy types, how some Vigors combine, and how to switch between Gear you’ve picked up (check the Controls screen for ‘Gameplay menu’)."

Who cares? It makes absolutely no difference.
