@ all the people arguing about the 30GB install size:

This is just recommended free disk space and not the actual size of the game.

Borderlands 2 has 20GB recommended HD space but the game (without DLC) took 7.5 and even with all DLC released to date it is 'just' 13 GB.

Maybe with all DLC Infinite will need 25-30GB.

yep probably with all DLCs it will be close to 30GB , but i trust my friend who makes review for it that its 16.9GB even with HighRes textures,

well, since i didn't played i can't say much, but bioshock 1 and 2 i loved them, can't say the same thing about your game that you seem to love, PoE, it sucks bigtime, and no im not a diablo 3 fan either, i loved diablo 1 and 2 tho. So in the end its just a matter of taste and if bioshock 3 is close to first two than its more than enough for me.

Hmmm, so I wonder if the season pass has an earlier release time on Steam for AU/NZ as well. I haven't received my GMG key for the season pass and wouldn't like to have missing content while playing in a few hours.

Oh, I loved the first Bioshock, too. Didn't finish the second one, though, 'cause it was definetely worse and more generic. And I'm not saying Infinite will be bad game but it seems that in the end, it really is just another FPS, although with more depth than your typical CoD game Smile That's not enough for me to jump on this hype train.

Huh, I don't know how I missed that, I wasn't even aware that there was a season pass....

Let me throw some more money at irrational then.

Wait, what?
Did they cut content to sell as DLC's?
What exactly besides DLC's does the pass give?

Edit:
Nevermind, just read about it.
Seems like the typical pre-order crap you get (but this time they flogged it into the season pass).

IDK. I was just wondering because the season pass details clearly state that it will be available on release day (26th).

Of course not a 10, but there's some sites that don't use fractions for their ratings (like 8.5, 9.5) etc Razz

Quote:
Firstly, Bioshock Infinite looks gorgeous and runs great. Smooth on Ultra everything on my relatively modest 3GHz Core 2 Duo, 8GB RAM, with a Radeon HD 5800. Textures aren’t ultra-sharp close up, but it never bothered me. Generally much crisper and prettier than BioShock.

Quote:
I did have to turn V-Sync off to get smooth mouse movement. Fine once I did though. You can disable mouse acceleration, and should.

Quote:
When you complete the game, you get access to the 1999 Mode, which is meant to be like games in 1999. It’s not – in 1999, you could quicksave. In this, you can’t afford to respawn as much, but you can still load the latest checkpoint. Unfortunately it also makes enemies tediously tough – three pistol headshots to kill a regular guard – so it’s just not very fun.

Meh, another artificial difficulty increase. I'll probably skip the 1999 mode now.

by its very nature 10/10 means "perfect, without flaws or niggles".. which is pretty much impossible - review scores over about 8 mean a game is worth checking out, I ignore reviews over 9 or 90%

You need to take rounding into account... if a site only rates in increments of 0.5, then a game which would receive anything above 0.975 can get a 10/10. That's the theory at least.

"Finishing it on any setting unlocks 1999 Mode, where enemies are much tougher, your navigational aid is removed, and resource management is much more important to survival. Suddenly all those health items in bins and barrels start to make sense."

I disagree. 10/10 means "this is soooo much fun" it doesn't mean it's perfect.

These are entertainment products after all.

I mean when you read a movie review and it's been rated *****/***** do you think it

has the best effects ever
best acting ever
best direction ever
best script ever
best music ever
..

or do you think the reviewer thought "as a movie it works amazingly well"?

TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"

Of course 10/10 doesn't mean perfect lol That wouldn't make any sense as the score would not apply to anything. Laughing

Eurogamers scoring policy:

Does 10/10 represent perfection?
No. However, a 10/10 score does mean that we recommend a game to everyone.

Actually is not if you played the first Bioshock on hard difficulty. I'm looking forward to some kind of tweak to unlock this early.

"You can turn off enemy healthbars, combat text, glint on loot and important objects, and ‘Adaptive training’. Adaptive training keeps telling you how to do things you’ve done many times, but annoyingly it’s the only source of useful information about how critical hits work on certain enemy types, how some Vigors combine, and how to switch between Gear you’ve picked up (check the Controls screen for ‘Gameplay menu’)."
