get out of my head! Laughing

this is exaclty how i felt. its like diablo with gothic lite elements, and more fluid combat. enjoyed it, but its no replacement for a real rpg itch.

Not really, it's only hard if you're one of our resident rushers Very Happy

I'm about to finish Tomb Raider and after that resume KOTOR, game is freaking long and more so as I do absolutely every secondary quest and take my time to enjoy as usual Razz

Yeah prolly rushing but side quests should be always "optional", like they state. If you follow just main quest line, you get fucked in the ass hard. Only thing what can help is sick legendary drops, but i did not get like single on first playthrough (on the last boss only). Now in True Vault hunter mode, its like pew pew (even if the quest would be 2-3 levels higher). Seems that this turned into lootlands, like nearly 10 legendaries in some skag area -.- (shitloads of shields + SMGs and couple shotguns including the mighty Conference Call :O + some sick pink shotgun which has 3x times the DMG over same level legendary Laughing).

They're optional, but they also meaningful, as in if you do them you will get properly rewarded with easier boss battles Wink That's how it should ne in very game if that kind IMO.

And yeah I wouldn't bother with True Vault Hunter just like I don't generally bother with the so-called New Game+, which are a waste of time generally (there might be some exceptions though).

I wanted to save up the side quests for second playthrough anyway Very Happy Would be too boring otherwise Razz Why no Vault Hunter mode? Isnt it the best way to level up, also in these kind of games its pretty much a must? Since loot scales etc..

just finished tomb raider, and now debating whether I should jump into sleeping dogs, far cry 3, or I am alive..... just want to make sure whatever I play next I can beat before bioshock infinite comes out.... should have plenty of time, but at the rate I play and beat games I might not, I don't like being an adult Sad

Eador: genesis.

What a lovely fresh turn based strategy game, if you have any interest in these kind of games, you should check the game out at gog.com.

A sequel or remake is in the works, Eador: Masters of the broken world.

My favs were Total Annihilation, Company of heroes, Warhammer Dawn of War1 and c&c 3 and red alert.

I just bought Supreme Commander2 30minutes ago and it's awesome. Do I need dlc infintie war for it ? worth it ?

Just finished Arcania: Fall of Setarrif. Even more meh than the previous. Ending was terrible. Whole games was terrible. First half of the games was acceptable but later just rushing through the cave and killing everything that moves.

Also for some reasons I couldn't see water textures. I was walking down the stairs in some cave and I hit an invisible wall that I couldn't pass. Googling dindn't helped untill I found a walkthrough and noticed that there was a lever. I clicked on it and it drained the invisible water Laughing

Freaking KOTOR So Much Win I spent all night playing it. 60 hours and counting, but I'm already very close to the end, or so it seems.

It was a long time since a game had me playing such extended sessions. One that got the closest was The Witcher (1) nearly 2 years ago. Once again, I'm not taking into account Civ V, cause long sessions are the nature of the game (and kind of game in general) Razz

Endless Space recently but the more I play and get to know strategies the more my ass is getting raped in this game.

SOTS: The Pit

Tomb Raider - forcing myself to finish it, mostly due to the shaky camera that make me nauseous.

Just finished uncharted 3 that has been sitting in my backlog for the last year. It was good, not as good as the 2nd one though. The last few chapters were very fun, everything leading up to that I found a little underwhelming Sad

Now onto god of war ascension!

I'm currently trying to get through my steam library of unfinished and unstarted games.

About half way through Bioshock 2 and going for Binary Domain after that.
There's only one, well two, problems.
Crusader Kings 2 and Europa Universalis 3.
I just can't stop playing them. Same would probably go for Victoria 2 and Hearts of Iron 3 if I could ever even remotely understand these games...
Anyway, gotta play more Europa Universalis 3. Spain ain't gonna form itself.

edit:
And along the lines of more current games I after finishin the Sly Cooper collection (and anxiously awaiting the EU release of Sly 4) I still have Ni No Kuni sitting in my PS3 with about 7 hours played. For some reason I'm currently ignoring my consoles in favor of the PC.

I finished KOTOR yesterday, no words for what an amazing game it is. It is now on my top 10 list ever.

Now I resumed Broken Sword II which I should finish soon and started playing Trine (nice platformer!). I didn't want to start any game that could take long as BioShock Infinite is coming in just one week Razz

Still playing Chivalry. I unlocked everything now, but i always come back to the Tier 1 weapons. They have the best balance between speed and damage, with a few exceptions. Can't wait for the patch to come out of beta, the changes sound great. Also, trolling with the war bow on FFA is fun.. well, for me at least.

Yeah, everybody hates archers. In FFA, the other classes forget their grudges if an archer is in range, and try to gangbang him. Fortunately, the archer's speed + sabre / cudgel usually work wonders. But sometimes you get surprise butsecks from a stray vanguard charging, it's unavoidable. Very Happy

If there's something i don't like, it's the unrealistic damage sword slashes do through plate armor. I understand it's there for gameplay purposes, but still - plate armor was damaged only by strong sword thrusts (but even so, only certain types of swords were able to penetrate the plate), polearms, axes and larger blunt weapons. High quality plate armor was even impervious to arrows, unless they were shot by a longbow or a crossbow (these two really raped any type of armor), or it was a lucky shot in one of the tiny weak spots.

I remember reading in one of Oakeshott's books, some full-plate armored italian noble was killed by a Swiss mercenary with a halberd - a slash that chopped his head through helmet, from brow to chin, and two stabs in the groin and ass for good measure (these areas were never protected by the plate).

Finished Trine last wednesday and now I'm playing Gemini Rue, I think I'm about to finish it too. That's the good thing of indie games, they don't take as much time to beat as the AAA ones Very Happy

Great adventure game with old school looks btw. Very interesting sci-fi story with a twist. I love the puzzles which aren't extremely hard but neither are they too easy as it's usual in these times. After finishing it probably I will just wait for BioShock Infinite and play the whole thing, and then resume with my huge backlog as planned Very Happy
