Used crack of course, installed in default dir (shouldn't matter), 1280x1024@32bpp@85Hz desktop res, Radeon 9600Pro Bravo and 7800GTX, Audigy 2 and ESI Juli@.
Works perfectly nice on both machines. No problems what-so-ever.
Try turning off the shadows, or at least tune it down. Change the in-game res to something you know will work, install different graphics drivers and if you have a SoundBlaster card you NEED the latest drivers. At least that's what the readme says.

One think to take an account is that it won't work with windowsblinds.
It's mentioned before, i just wanna repeat it coz it was the prob with me and meh mate.

What drivers do you use?
I have same card as u, and i use Omegadrivers 2.6.
Works great for me!

i got 3,2 GHz, 1 GB RAM, x750 Pro and this game runs fluent on max settings, 1280*1028
and 2nd highest shadow setting.

Still the game doesn't start for me.. I do not know why. I also have the newest audio/video drivers. Audigy 2 ZS and Radeon x850, Windows XP Pro SP 2... hmmmm

Is anyone else getting some random white text printed onto the screen sometimes? It first started happening when I got to the guild house and continued after that. I've fiddled with all the settings and can't seem to figure it out.

Don't have any problems with an Athlon XP 2500, 1GB RAM, Geforce 6800 vanilla, and integrated nforce2 sound. Using 77.72 forceware drivers I believe.
I used the default install dir but on my second HDD partition. Using the crack, game and desktop both at 1024x768x32.
The game looks promising, but the training is annoying as hell and I'm going out so I'll have to endure it later. The graphics are...interesting to say the least. Good in some ways, yet really poor looking in others. There's a style to them which is also cool/lame, so I kinda have a mixed opinion on it.
Anyway, to all those with tech problems...it's an Xbox port, this always happens. Hope it works out for you guys though

Try turning off lots of background shit, don't do anything foolish like have winamp running and stuff.
If your video card has a little tray icon thing, try closing that.
Turn all the audio/visual settings down to the lowest and if it works, raise things one at a time to see if you run into anything.
Sorry these are very general, I don't have the game yet.

About the highest shadow setting:
I think it could be that the max shadow setting enables "hardware shadow-mapping" which should give a boost in performance on the 6800 cards (only ones that support it). The max setting could have a higher resolution shadow-map instead of giving a performance boot. Either way it´s something thats not that important.

lol update ur drivers,directx,windows update ( game is M$'s you never know ) and try again...
it even works on my old pc...
2.5GHZ
1GB ram
9600 256mb
so it should be working on urs too...

Forget it found it out, i thought i could use the card i got from the man with his non existant daughter (argh), but you have to shave your head first and pay for it every time.
Something else, i have a Geforce 6800 and the max shadow setting is extremly slow on my PC (XP3200+). Either its a high resolution map or its created with better looking Shader Model 3.0. The Setting one below runs smooth, just to inform you.

I resolved my particular video problem by rolling back windows media player 10 (and components). I reinstalled and videos were playing.

How do you assign things to the hotbar?
In the buy/sell interface what does "wanted" mean?
In the buy/sell interface, what do the numbers next to the price, ie the numbers in parantheses mean? An item costs "150 (156)" That's the kind of things it says. What do the parantheses mean?

Alright I figured out the problem with the text at the bottom thing... I turned off both subtitles and tooltips... not sure which one fixed it but it's one of them. Just thought I'd say in case someone else had the same problem.

Yep, i dont notice any difference with max shadows and the setting below, and i got picky eyes!
Prolly just like its rendering shadows 200m in the distance, not noticeable but very noticeable fps drop.
And NO you dont have to shave every time u change haircut, i just choose 4 different ones without shaving, why shave?
Its a different thing if u got a MUSTASH (so sue me i cant spell) on, then u gotta shave it off cuz if u add a beard it doesnt overwrite the mustash, lol! 
Damn good game, screw all you agressive people, what the hell, this is the greatest rpg so far, RPG, Role-Playing Game!
Name 1 game before this that has let you have the same ammount of customisation/roleplay. "morrowind", yeah, ok.... so you think being able to attack guards make it roleplay? LoL
Btw, where is the first Tatoo shop? Im just at the first village and i wanna try on my custom tribal dragon tatoos

I can do what i want ... the game still wants to tell me that i got just 1000 mhz ... and my windows thinks the same and if i restart there is written 1800 mhz before starting the game i think the crack sucks -.- may reloaded or hoodlum would be so nice and get us a good one ...

Probably throttling, if you got AMD Athlon 64 you should disable "Cool'n'Quiet".

No m8 mine just doesnt boot up at all, i installed the crack went to load it up, black screen then back to desktop. When i go to try it agian it just says that there was a problem trying to load the game then it asks do you want to continue anyway or continue in safe mode. I try safe mode but i still get the same shit?? all drivers are up to date except for my Soundblaster Audigy card, ive tried updating these but when i do the drivers just say that i dont have the right component in my machine which is bullshit.
And wtf is "windowsblind"???
