Can someone post a screenshot with shadows set to max?
I also have an ATI card (not supported by Hardware)
I'd like to see the difference

I got the ohh and ahhh effect when I first played it yesterday but damn this game is extremely repetative..

to be honest, its very linear and just feels like a good looking dungeon siege :/

Just wish it was as open as morrowind or gothic. I love the art though.

Dont worry so much about the shadows, they look identical on the two top settings. MAX seems to be just a gimmick for that setting.

I kinda suck at this game. I just got my ass owned on that "kill more blabla than blabla" mission. Sad
Think I need to get me some better weapon.

You're really early in the game, I wouldn't worry about heavy armor yet, what do you have at the moment? Chainmail?

i just got the chain gloves and the pants and the bighammer

play the memory game at the pub in the first city and earn BIG bucks, then buy all the armor you want.

this game is really easy on xbox and should be even easier with mouse.

How exactly is he supposed to buy all the armor he wants when only specific towns later in the game sell the plate armor? Rolling Eyes

I think there is a new armor set created for the PC version.

hhmmm well after some more combat I got to say the combat system sucks. click-clikc-click, etc very boring. oh well going to wait for morrowind iv, etc Smile

well if i remember correctly there is some pretty neat armor in the same town as you do the memory game, which of course was intended to be baught when you return much later in the game.

Just tried to load it up but it just goes to black screen then returns back to windows?...just updated my drivers and still the same. Using the 6800 Ultra card....need help guys

Yeah, I have to agree about combat, it's damn clicking marathon. I wish they would have thought about something else, more innovative and entertaining.

help game doesnt load it just says theres a problem and needs to close i am running an ATI radeon 9800 pro 128mb P4 2.8 ghz 1 gig of ram

I think its a very enjoyable game.

but I am stuck in a quest: "Protect Orchad Farm"
OK, its easy so far, the bandits are no problem, but then "Whisper" (the other apprentice at the hero school) shows up and I shall defeat her.

I dont know how. I tried almost 1 hour hacking on her - she blocks every melee attack. you cant beat her with ranged weapons, not with magic, seems to be invulnerable. whats the point here?? How can I defeat her?

KromaZone..

Do you have the same problem as this:

I get to the menu and make a profile and so on.. When I start a new game, it loads for a bit then autosaves and the pops back to windows.. If I load my Autosave, it playes the intro (without voice?!) and the freez..

Anybody get this error message when running the game : -

"unable to play video. Please check that your audio and video hardware are working correctly
Error code: 0x80040241"

Game still runs great, just doesnt play the videos.

Have tried lowering audio acceleration and forcing refresh rates - same problem.

Running on 3500+ / Audigy 2 value (latest drivers) / 6800gt with 77.77 forceware.

I can play the videos fine with windows media player......

yes it is one of the best rpgs ive played.the pc version with all the trimmings will rock.

Sure Fable was a nice game, but as someone else pointed out it was a good adventure-game with hack'n'slash features that also had a minimum amount of rpg to it.

And even if it was an rpg then it's not one of the better ones.. Baldurs Gate-series, KOTOR-series, Fallout-series, Neverwinter Nights. I could go on. Rolling Eyes


rpg=role playing game. you do this in Fable. its an RPG whether you think it is or it isnt like others, it still is. my quote was its ONE of NOT the best rpgs IVE played. please read the words in caps, my opinion not yours. I NEVER said: Fable is the best RPG there is, did I?
yes KOTOR is MY FAVOURITE rpg. Razz but i still wouldnt claim its one of the best rpgs as opinions differ.....glad i got this off my chest. Laughing

OK.. It's seems that a lot of people are haveing problems running the game..

To the guys that doesn't have problems; Could you tell us if you used default install dir, use the crack, desktop resolution, GFX and AUDIO card.. We need info here Wink

I didnt use the crack after I installed the game and it runs fine superb even on my radeon 9700pro, no problems graphics are ok, game is a bit gay, I was hoping you could realy be evil, but you cant!!! Its too nice!!!

used crack instal in new directory f:\fable
audio dont know
work smooth,had a problem in the video section when
i tried to change the resolution and all
if you want to change than you have to change 1 by 1
dont know why,at keast work for me Smile
1024*860 i think

all on the most high except shadow
i cant do the last one so its one before Razz
