As a Copenhagen-er I'm pretty sure that Christiana is not even close to be shut down. It has been there for more than 40 years. It would create a massive riot if it was. At the moment we have a socialistic government and they have no intention removing it. And that's good, I love this place, especially in the summer

The police seem to go after non danes that leave Christiania only to search their car :/ Thats not the Denmark I know anyway... I don't really care that much, because I don't even smoke pot. But its what we Norwegians love about Denmark; drugs at Christiania and Vodka at gas stations

How can you be from Copenhagen and not know that Christiania is now sold to private hands and is completely legally owned by its inhabitants?
Well not really, but generally people at Christiania are either there to buy or sell drugs. I remember listening to the radio when I was driving home to Norway, and it seems like Christiania is history soon. Denmark is getting less liberal :/
This does not explain anything at all. Its just a re-occuring bit from a comedy show. He ends every bit by headbutting the microphone. Its funny, I guess?
The wiki is pretty uninformed on Christiania, there is a lot of bullshit on it, but let me know if you want to know more about it... the TL;DR version is that its a closed military base that was taken over by squatters and hippies and then developed in to an autonomous part of Copenhagen. Weed and selling of weed was a big part of it but also anything connected with living disassociated from the state. Its now "normalized" in the fact that the residents have bought the area and also the weed selling has sadly been taken over by organised crime more or less. Its still very much in the open and for someone from another country its a bit of a culture shock.
