Does this work on my Swedish Origin account? When entering billing information, you have to choose a country, does it matter which one you choose? |
It work with Polish origin (didn't had any problem with change billing address etc. after I used hide ip not proxy) so should work with Swedish too.

You do realize I bought this game at release day, right? I know without any doubt i've had to put up with more bullshit with this game then most people. Including yourself. |
But but, hes losing you! you are betraying him on his side of "the game sucks!". You cant just go and say you enjoy it now! Its opposite of what he thinks of it, and that means you are just plain wrong!! come back to the side of right!
And all this time he thought you wasn't a retarded, coked headed, no brain celled, EA paid to post good reviews sheeple..such a shame hes going to have to call you one now.

So what's so special about this game?
I wasn't a big fan of the previous simcity games, will this perhaps entice me more than the previous titles?

This is the only one where you can enjoy login queues and server issues while trying to play a single player game.

Well, I liked SimCity 4, so I thought I could give this one a try. At 2am there were no queue (guess what? people do sleep... except me), but I rather finished Walking Dead Episode 5 game (epic game by the way) and thought I can play today. Well yeah, after 10 minutes of waiting, I managed to get in the server. After 10 minutes played my city went to hell, too much road and stuff, forgot that I am not in sandbox The game is GREAT I think, but the servers are pretty much f*cked up, after 10 minutes of play I got Simcity servers are down in the top left corner on my screen... If EA will sort out this problem, this might be a really great game.
1. Fix server problems (enable leaderboards, friends and stuff)
2. Give larger city borders (btw I never liked big maps, but that's just my opinion...)
3. Give a few new stuff for free or pretty much cheap. OR just make the game modding-friendly.

Probably not Pref.
Its more of the same, micromanaging all the details of a city to try to keep the people happy so they grow.
It is a bit easier to get into the GUI, some say its dumbed down, but thats like saying you dumbed down a filing cabinet by organizing it's files in some logical order.
I say all the same info sc4 had is there, just organized much neater to find and get to.
But if you aren't a liker of the tycoon, simulation, god like, 'spreadsheet in motion' type game genre..you might not like it.

I had a thought that scares me.
Login issues>lots of complaing>free publicity (he game is so populair it must be good)>profit.
A dev can make more profit releasing an avarage game this way, you could even do it on purpose.
Look at diablo 3, it is one of the most profitable pc game in years

It's going to take a lot more than just the offline patch to fix this turd. What a shame...
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.

I heard many horror stories about the actual gameplay mechanics (small cities, very bad pathfinding, etc etc) AND THATS AFTER THE DRM BullCrap.. that's an utter turn-off that not only the Authentication part of this game so BAD that the ACTUAL GAME itself is pure S-H-I-E-T compared to the competition.
GAWD WHAT A FRICK'N DISASTER *YET AGAIN* for those Game Industry MultiNationals.. E-Flipp'n-EH?!?!?

Sooo I can only select 1 european server that's not full (europe east 4), and it doesn't work.
I guess that's why it's not full..
Awesome.

Dat simulation.
Putting all that computation on server side really paid off.

I have a question. Is GlassBox server side, or client side?

Client side.
If there's anything happening on the server it's some worthless regional multiplayer trading calculations or whatever.

Quote: | Update 1.4
This update to SimCity contains the following updates and fixes:
General
• Update to the “select a server” dialog in the game launcher. This will now indicate which servers you have active cities on
• Fix issue where selection shard did not display when previously selected server is down
• We've fixed a problem where some players were getting stuck when switching shards in the server select menu
Servers
• Opened 1 new server, Antarctica |
I wonder how long we will get a support like that ^^

No problem in buying this.
Expect to be severely trolled/laughed at when you complain about it not working though
