|
 |
I've been making a lot of these posts lately lol. Sorry humpers, but with my new rig I need to learn the ways, and who better to ask than my fellow humpinators?
I'll see these nice in-game screenies posted, and in the upper left corner it will display useful information like CPU/GPU usage, temps, loads, voltage, FPS... and all that nice stuff.
I can get most of this info through core-temp, cpu-z, gpu-z, fraps....etc but you have to alt-tab out of your game for it.
So how can I become even more of a PC elitist? Is there some good free software I can use for this? I'm looking for info like CPU/GPU usage, temps, and frames per second.

Indeed they don't, but CPU usage is kinda pointless these days to keep an eye out on it.
IMO GPU usage/memory/temps and fps is more important.

Its unbeliavable that you still cant OC over CCC limits 7xxx series cards on the newest version, you can overvoltage tho them up to 1.3v -.- This is why i dont use it, cba to do the Unofficial OC hack, since Sapphire Trixxx can do this without any hacks.

Yep that's all you need, btw, is scaling really THAT bad for nvidia? I'm getting 99% and 93% usage on the cards...

cool, looks like I'm all set then, thanks.
As for scaling... I'm not even sure what good scaling would be to be honest... would the best scenario for scaling be 50% usage on both cards? Haven't really tried many other games, ill check out crysis 3 and far cry 3 in a bit.

It means nothing more then how much framerate increase you are getting per card (and the usage per card), on that screenshot you posted i see 2x 83% usage, so that's still 34% that isn't being used (perfect would be 100%/100%).
Donno what other games you play, but test out BF3, see how far you can go with the usage on both cards there.
Because i'm actually curious how well it can scale, and BF3 is the highest scoring for me atm with 99% and 96% on the cards, so almost got a double fps increase compared to 1 card.
