Well Werelds, not to support him, but he does have a point.
Why didn't you RMA/resell it yet and got yourself a new/AMD one?
Why remain all this time with a semi/partly defect card?
But on the other hand, Werelds is right, he has a point with that.
How can you judge AMD, by solely what OTHERS said?! When you are trying to dismis an opinion about someone that did had both sides over the last years?!
For me, for example, ALL nvidia cards i had where fucked one way or another. Be it overheating to 110 degrees celcius (GTX470), not being able to get 60hz on HDMI(GTX260BE), no HDMI audio out (on my GTX260BE) and having artifacts without any reason on FOUR cards (4x 6600 GT).
Yet when i traded them all in for their AMD counterpart, i had ZERO issues ever since (untill i upgraded ofc)..
So solely based on that, nvidia must be pure shit.
But these are things someone experiences by themselfs, but that's far from the truth about a certain product.
Even with a bigger amount of people saying shit, the more likely the story gets twisted into a fanboy favor.
Some people here (those are known) are not really biased about such things, and i can honestly say that Werelds is one of them. Ofc don't take my word for it (you prolly think i'm just asskissing), but atleast he adds info to as to why he thinks in certain ways, can't say that about you or the others that are so biased..

No, unlike you, I don't think I'll be free of whatever issues by switching. I'm not displeased with my card at all, it's just not problem free like you claim. Nvidia has just as many issues on many fronts. I can't RMA either because it's technically not faulty. I will sell it however, once I feel there's something worth replacing it with, without it being a side grade. I stuck with Nvidia through the G80/G92 crap as well.
I have never said AMD has no issues. CCC for example is still not as clean as NVCP. You however use driver stability as an argument every time, which just really isn't true. And no, unless you've used one for an extended period of time somewhat recently, you don't have any right to say otherwise.
And, just for the record, I've owned about twice as many Nvidia cards as ATI in the past two decades, so I'm really not a hardcore supporter of either. I've just had so many and so many issues on either side that I know for a fact that neither is perfect.

by the way, whats the difference between the i5-3570 and the 3570K ? Only thing i see, is one has intel HD2500 and the K has the HD4000 (onchip gpu), but i don't care for either. Is there anything else that differs ?

Plus you can get warranty with the k version, where they replace it ONCE without questions asked if you blew it with OC

Oh yes, and even for people that don't like overclocking, Id say get it and bump it a little, its what its made for.
Its as simple as boot, go into bios, change multiplier with one click...and done.

I have the exact same setup, just another gpu. OC the 3570k to stable 4,5ghz and couldnt ask for more power... this beast can even stream crysis 3 on 720p.

Sometimes the threads disappear randomly after getting cleaned of spambots. Don't know why is this happening.

Sin317 wrote: | so, bought the coolermaster 212 evo and FUCK ME that thing is huge. Fucking thing is HUGE. >Actually had to remove the fan mounted on the side, in order to fit it . But damn, its good |
nice dude, I actually just picked the 212 evo up last week myself, and ya... it it pretty damn big. It barely fit on my mobo with all 4 slots of ram filled too (vengeance with the high heatsinks), don't know if you saw the screens in my thread from before, but there is like 1mm clearance next to the ram lol. This is all with push/pull config (I changed the pull fan to a better coolermaster one, and it dropped my temps another 3-4 degrees.)
Spoiler: | |
It's an awesome cooler, not loud at all, keeps temps nice and low, time for OC now eh?
