Finished it. Oh boy how terrible the story ended up being.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."

We have just made public a new version of the PC version of Tomb Raider, build 1.0.718.4. This patch will be applied by Steam automatically when you next start the game. If your game does not update, please restart the Steam client.
This update addresses a variety of issues that we either found out about shortly before release or immediately after.
Fixes include:
- Addressed some stability and startup issues on machines that have both Intel and NVIDIA graphics hardware.
- Fix for players being unable to progress related to the boat in the beach area.
- Some fixes for crashes on startup and when selecting Options.
- Some small improvements to TressFX hair rendering.
- Fixes for various graphics glitches, including certain effects not being visible in fullscreen mode.
- Fixed a problem that caused some users to not be able to use exclusive fullscreen.
- Added support for separate mouse/gamepad inversion for aiming, as well as support for x-axis inversion.
- Fixes related to the benchmark scene and benchmark mode.
- Various other small fixes.
While we expect this patch to be an improvement for everyone. If you do have trouble with this patch and prefer to stay on the old version we made a Beta available on Steam, Build716.5, that can be used to switch back to the previous version. Please note however that you can only play multiplayer with people that share your version.
We expect further patches to follow fairly soon, addressing further issues we see being brought up by players, and are actively monitoring these and other forums looking for issues.
@Breezer_ : Nah, it's a bug with the game. On certain configurations and levels it does that. For me (GTX460) it did it (something similar, actually) in 2 areas.
And yes my card wasn't even hot or something like that.

Looks almost like GPU would have been fucked up. Not really game bug, just some shit going on with your GPUs / Drivers.
I guess you never had a clipping body bug?!
This shit happened in dayz aswell at one point, and in many other games it sometimes happens.
Don't you think i would had known if my cards get too hot and this was due to overheating....? Especially having temps on my g19 display nonstop and the fact that i'm recording, thus lower fps, thus lesser taxing and thus lower temps, then when i would be playing without recording...
Come on breezer, didn't except such an answer from you...

Nice that they released this before the weekend. I was just going to post some info on the windowed mode workaround I found a little earlier that I was testing but now I don't need to and hopefully the game will run a little better as it required BorderlessWindowed running in the background.
So I finished the game yesterday and I have to say, it's not a bad game, when it let me play it.
There were still way too many QTE's for my taste and the game took away control for me more than it needed (and when I was given it back again it wasn't always so obvious so that ended up with me not running/jumping/whatever when I was supposed to).
The puzzles were beyond simplistic, but they were there and they were still entertaining.
The fighting was ummm....terminator style?
Anywho, this wasn't at all a bad game when you actually got to play and explore the island on your own. Was a fun ride but I hope they'll do it better next time.
Also, the story was boring and I didn't care one bit for any other character other than Lara, they could all die for all I cared.
