A better reply would've been : Most of the time you use the cockpit/hood view coz the 3rd person camera is so shitty, and you can't see the models anyway
Correction, you can only use the cockpit view on premium cars. So much for "unity".

Predictable reply but it's not what I meant. I meant unity as for having the same database of cars and tracks. The GT4 models are indeed shit compare to premium but still better than shitty user made models found in rFactor and others alike. Btw, fyi, good models made by the community is usually done by professional modelers, not specifically from the automotive industry. 200 premium cars on GT5 is nice tho, plenty to play with to begin with. Most of the time you use these cars anyway.
If you are claiming that mods have only shitty models, then you have no clue what you are talking about, sorry. Some of the bigger mods have better models than a lot of the console racing titles. Now even GT5 models are converted to these games.

That still won't change my mind. I still hate racing on the PC. It sucks ass.
Btw, I believe modders who will use GT5 models will get a kick in the ass in the form of a law suit if they actually do that.
Already been done, haven't heard of even one cease and desist. Sony thinks they are such "" over PC gaming, so they probably don't care what some hardcore PC simmers do.

Seriously though, that's fine, just don't go around claiming GT5 is more realistic than any other sim (or Shift for that matter), because that's an outright lie

i once thought viper racing was realistic cause of the awesome damage models.
So now that I actually have this game and have been able to compare it to other games, can I just say what a piece of shit it is?
I'm glad I didn't own a PS3 when it came out, because I would've bought it (given how much I loved GT1 and 2 "back in the day") and I would've regretted it completely. I can enjoy it for what it is: a racing game with some car models that look real but sound and handle like crap. It sure as hell isn't "the real driving simulator" at least
My little brother (15yo) is playing this game end to end since it's been released, i don't see what's so good about this game. Yes, forza 4 maybe has less cars (who cares about 10 types of the same mazda or honda?), but it is miles ahead of this "real driving sim". It looks better, plays better and sounds awesome on a surround sound setup. In GT5 every car sounds like a souped up vacuum cleaner. It just doesn't have the (little) details forza 4 features both graphically and sound wise.

Yeah yeah yeah, but GT5 haz THREEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!
Spoiler:
Which is even shittier because it is only presented in 720p which makes the game look awfully jaggy...well, at least when you are sitting right in front of a 61" TV using your home-made G27 steering wheel stand...
Of course, I have yet to get around to Forza 4, mostly because I can't use my G27 with my 360 natively. And having a clutch pedal and shifter box is a requirement for me to play any racing game. To not use a manual gearbox in a racing game is sacrilege. Unless you are retarded, then it's just a mere death/dismemberment penalty.

got all that already, i just wanted to drive C7 no matter what game, it is only in this one as far as i know
Damn forgot how bad this game sounds, played forza4 the other day and those porsches sounded so real, this however is simply abysmal and that camera behind the car view, it's like i'm driving the rc car, what did thiose 24 patches do anyway, cause i see no freaking difference
