Having completed the PS3 version, I have to say I didn't think there were too many QTEs. I mean if you choose to melee all of your enemies, then sure, it's one button to activate then another timed press, but most enemies should be dead before they even get close enough to melee. I don't consider having to hammer the same button multiple times to wedge a door or box open a QTE, a QTE to me is when you're prompted to press a sequence of buttons at a determined timeframe, and TR only has a couple of those, none more than two presses IIRC. It's certainly not GOW territory.

I tried my Logitech Rumblepad 2 and it doesn't seem to be supported, button bindings are all over the place. And it doesn't work well even using the x360ce emulator.

Works fine with Rumblepad 2 and x360ce, you'll just need to rename xinput1_3.dll to xinput9_1_0.dll

Thanks for the tip, I won't be using my gamepad for this game anyway, plays really good with kb/m. But I would like to understand why you need to change the filename for that DLL, if it's not asking too much Razz

For those who wants to play with their PS3 controller..You can use MotionJoy http://www.motioninjoy.com/ and set it by default for xbox 360 pad...but will still work perfectly with the PS3 one...been using this for a long time now and never had any problems..And you dont have to rename files and stuff like that. Very Happy

Cheers!!

Yeah I've used MotionJoy in the past so I could play my heavily modded NBA2K11 on my pc with my cousin, with him using his PS3 controller. Then I reinstalled Win7 and never got to reinstall MotionJoy again and just kept using x360ceemu as it was really esy to setup in most cases Razz

But I'll take your advice for future games.

LOL. No crashes here, i´m not using the crack btw. There seem to be some performance issues, fps go from 60 to 5 and to 60 again at time, it´s really annoying.

From the x360ce.exe help tab:
Quote:
Problem: Game can't detect your controller
Reason: Game executable can look for xinput dll by different names.
Solution: Create copy of xinput1_3.dll with name provided below till you find one that works:
xinput1_2.dll
xinput1_1.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll

Odd, did you give other (older/newer) drivers another try?
Because usually overheating is really rarely caused by just the game, the game can't do more then use 99% gpu (wich should mean that it reaches it's limit and it SHOULD be able to handle that)...
Try running furmark and see if you get the same Smile

What in-game settings are you using? A lot of people on different forums say it's the Tessellation. When the game doesn't crash performance here is very stable, and gpu usage is maxed most of the time.

I haven't tried different drivers yet....I was having the same issue with Sniper Elite Nazi Zombie Army...but I lowered the settings and the temps became normal 75 to 80 degrees. I am still experimenting...but thanks for the advice. I will post back if I can get the temps normal while playing.

Edit....well lowering the settings has helped so far I played for 20min and the temps run between 78-90 degrees....will try more tomorrow.

I know it'll sound odd, but I just kinda had that same issue with Far Cry 3, aside from I don't have to reboot. It finds itself again a few seconds later.. Right before loading screens, odd I know

TressFX was the cause of the slowdowns, getting 60fps now @ 2560x1600 fxaa ultimate details, shocker.

Also, using SSAA cause gfx corruption, no issue with fxaa. see water here:

Played yesterday couple hours and it ran great, must be Nvidia issue. Minimum was about low 30s in some cinematics when TressFX hair is close. Other than that, runs like 40fps+ all the time, and looks gorgeous (everything maxed out @ 1440p) Razz Very good game, absolutely loving it, Crystal Dynamics nailed it.
