Yeah the fact that Canada was deprived of credit kinda ruined it for me too even tho I loved the film before knowing the real facts.

in the movie they actively said the new zealanders told the americans to fuck off, when in fact they helped them out!
gotta love america.. the truth isnt enough, they need to actively lie and discredit other nations in fact based movies, just to make themselves look better TO THEMSELVES
it'd be hilarious if it wasnt so pathetic.

Trolljegeren 6/10
Thought it be more of a B movie, but it was pretty decent production. Was a bit: wth is all this stuff since I'm not really used of all this troll mythology

X-Files: I want to Believe - 4/10
The worst movie I have seen in quite a while... I want to believe that anderson, carter and duchovny needed the money
Aside from the relation between mulder and scully there is nothing here that bears a resemblance to the x-files, FFS.

This movie just brought Carter's weird attempts to defend child molesters right in front. Kinda lost all motivation to rewatch anything x-files on the back of this :X | Only made me miss the show more.
The first five seasons, at least

bxrdj wrote: | Really? I loved this one, actually I watch it every time its played on TV ... how is it different than x-files again? I would give this one a solid 7.5/10 | - Story feels like it was hacked up out of nowhere (maybe there's a director's cut that helps it a bit?)
- Terrible soundtrack, where's the eerie and atmospheric music present on most of the shows episodes (please ignore the "light-hearted" seasons 6 an 7 )
- A bit too much useless chasing instead of the slower pace present on most of the show's episodes.
- The new two agents are poorly acted... xzibit, seriously?
- Could have used a couple of more characters from the show/universe and especially using the ones they used better than they did.
- The stem cell stuff was really hammered in "just because" IMO, they might as well as have ditched that kid side story and have some good old investigation instead of that.
It really felt just like another action movie (which besides the chasing really didn't have that much action to begin with ) to which someone added a couple of things from the series.

I read a rather appalling article about how Chris Carter continously employed and defended Scott Bairstow who had been convicted of having sex with a 12 year old girl related to his ex-wife after the conviction. That coupled with the very odd way he decided to portray a pedophile and sort of make Scully the bad guy in the scenes where she is berating him and berating Mulder for working with him sat very ill with me. Im having a hard time finding the article now, though.

so nvm I take it back ... hahahah |
I think I quite liked that one, actually

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012) - 9.5/10
If I had to describe it in one word - majestic.
Everything from the vistas, to the music, to the portrayal of the characters, simply perfect. Although, I may be a bit biased, seeing as how Tolkien is more or less the father of everything I hold dear (modern fantasy - everything from DnD, to Everquest, hell even Diablo borrows from it to some extent.) This was 3 hours of sheer mouth agape nerd-gasm for me.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

The Hobbit.
8/10
I really enjoyed it, I was not the biggest fan of the LOTR films (meh so shoot me) but this was fantastic, maybe it was my low expectations, who knows.
My 8 year old also loved it, the 6 year old not so much, but it is a long film so cant blame her for that
