So do the shadows cause these odd slowdowns? Neutral

I get odd stuttering AFTER I pause and resume the game.

Try the following:
- Start a new multiplayer match against CPU.
- Check whether the game feels fine (it does for me).
- Enter pause menu.
- Leave pause menu.
- Check whether game feels sluggish all of a sudden (it does for me).

When I quit the match and start anew one the game is fine again, until I pause it.

No. Was just saying that I'm experiencing the same problem. Tried a lot of things, enable/disable stuff but with no results.

Ah, so i guess the render engine isn't properly optimized for running at 60 fps and has the intention to drop back to the 30 it's used to from consoles Laughing

As for the shadows, seriously wtf, are shadows THAT hard to properly code after all these years we can already achieve this Confused

Despite the shadow issue(which doesn't bother me that much),the game looks awesome. Gotta love the art style.

Played this on the 360,but never finished it...going to remedy that. Smile

So the slowdowns are in this one too? The same is in Iron Brigade. After one played mission the game starts to slow down, especially while collecting scrap. It was reported issue on different configs, probably engine fault - nothing was done about it.

After restarting the game and activating adaptive v-sync, triple buffering & 3x per-rendered frames it runs a little bit smoother. The framerate is still shitty in some parts even though it displays constant 60fps. Still better than before though.

Have you tried confirming whether it stutters from the beginning or only after you've paused the game?

Downloaded the game, change english to spanish in steam_rld ,yet the game still starts in english everytime, even if i change the language in the game options, everytime i quit it gets back in english

Also,i've got a HUGE PROBLEM...i don't know if it's crack related or not,but whenever you just start a new game and take control of the main character and getting his Axe and Guitar, there's a moment they ask you to Press Y (x360ce controller mapper) to use an "Earthquake"...well,bitch please,I'M PRESSING THE BUTTON BUT NOTHING HAPPENS!!!!!

any fix for this?

Nevermind,it SEEMS that you might have to play with the IN-GAME language settings and reach the first checkpoint to make the game to SAVE THE LANGUAGE

Also, the Earthquake thing...i don't know why it doesn't shows the buttons, but it's pressing A and X (like X and Square on the PS3) to do it

We're starting with a kind of broken game already, guys,BUT THE MUSIC ROCKS

Games been patched on Steam

Quote:
Hi everyone!

This thread is going to be the official update thread. In it, we here at Double Fine are going to try and keep everyone informed about the changes that are going into the updates. That way you can know about all the awesome stuff getting fixed and added to the Beta as well as when you should be expecting the next update.

**2/26/13 Patch**
This is the first patch to the released game. Another patch will be released soon, but we wanted to get these fixes out to everyone immediately:

Major Improvements:

* Fixed audio compression settings in cutscenes
* Fixed mouse cursor not hiding during the game
* Lamprey audio stream now plays
* Earth shaker button prompts work
* Added a safety feature so that you are unblocked even if the map doesn't display at the completion of the intro sequence

Major Known Issues:

• Missing cutscene at the end of the bridge in the tutorial
• Vehicle jittering in cutscenes
• Frame rate stuttering on some machines

Can't map mouse 4, 5, right shift, or right control correctly. Another port where the developers didn't have access to a modern keyboard or mouse.

**2/26/13 Patch**
We have released another patch to the game. We have a lot of big fixes:

Major Fixes

• IMPORTANT NOTE: 60Hz sim is now “opt in” not “opt out”. If you have a fast computer and can handle the 60 fps sim, please just turn it on in Brutal Legends Options!
• Fixes to performance/lag on computers with slower CPUs.
• HiFi Sim (i.e. simulate at 60 fps) now off by default. Users can enable it, but may see some jitter until we fix a couple more bugs.
• Fixes to some options not saving/loading correctly.
• Fix for oceans sometimes not rendering on AMD GPUs.
• Missing cutscene at end of intro bridge plays properly again.
• Mission beacon now appears appropriately throughout game.
• Fixes to some car physics when Hi Fi Sim is on.

Major Known Issues:
• Steam Cloud support is not currently functional
• MotorForge back patch screen still displays junk background.

Similar to the previous patch notes but a bit more detailed.

Can you upload the updated files? Game exe has no protection so it will work with initial cracked steam_api.dll.
