Well, today i've bought the 660GTX Ti OC 2GB from Gigabyte as an upgrade from my 460GTX 1GB from Gigabyte too.

Good things?,AWESOME
Bad Thing?...

Sony Vegas Pro 11 (64bits,Windows 7 64bits) cannot render with CPU+GPU anymore since the card's NOT supported...while the 460GTX IS supported and worked LIKE A BOSS...only option is using CPU in "Render as" option, butofcourse,it's SLOW AS HELL (15 mins to render a 5 min vid??...it's the reverse thing for the 460GTX)

The big question is...is there any other 64bit Video Editor with HD and the stuff that uses CPU+GPU Acceleration?..a program that's NOT Adobe After Effects Nor Adobe Premiere (they dont solve any of my problems)

Thanks in advance

y u using sony vegas? might as well use windows movie maker. lol.

go adobe premiere. or avid media composer 6.5

you should want a reliable program that does what it's supposed to and not one that just adds bullshit features and is very not user friendly. Neutral

premiere is good nowadays. I'm sure it will do what you want to do.
avid is dope. once you get a hold of it you won't really need to use a mouse for most of your work.

Try avid. Get yourself that lynda tutorial thing.

you could also try Smoke. but youd need a mac for it. smoke is orsom.

@LeoNatan: I already tried Vegas 11 and 12 to both their latest versions, none work with GPU (11 shows Error if set on Automatic but won't if it's set to CPU,but duuuh, that's not what i want. That didn't happend with 460GTX as i never knew about the Automatic "Render As" function). It seems Sony hasn't toyed around with the newest 600 series cards

@WaldoJ: I already tried Premiere, trust me...but it wont let me resize the vids and i cant find a "Crop black borders without being forced to be it with Aspect Ratio"...Pinnacle Studio 12 lets me crop what i want without aspect ratio ...THIS--> is what i want

Ofcourse,Pinnacle doesn't has any preset function to easily help you choose the options like Sony Vegas Pro 11/12 does (MP4-> Internet 720 HD / 640 x480 / etc..)

Again, looking for CPU+GPU usage to speed up really fast the rendering...tried rendering into MP4 720p for Youtube a 5 minute CRYSIS 2 vid on ULTRA Settings + DX11 and Vegas trolled me with "20 minutes left"...while,when i had the 460GTX,it was LESS than 5 minutes..)

Trust me,i tried, unless there's a tutorial for all my needs..also the black bars and gpu acceleration

EDIT: Here's the video with the problem i have with Vegas Pro 11,to prove you that i'm not lying about the GPU Rendering prob (it's in spanish, but you'll see what i mean whenever i circle the options with the mouse)

sony takes a while to update their shit.

but try http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/GPU_power_in_Vegas_Pro_11

also try out vegas pro 12

http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegaspro

once a new version comes out they usually drop support for the older version.
that's sony for you.

Well, seems that you've watched the Vegas 11 error...how about checking out the Vegas 12's SLOWNESS even with GPU Acceleration set to my card and seeing that no matter CPU,Cuda or OpenCL NONE of these ACCELERATES the process of the file

Here's MY vid with the Vegas 12 SLOW rendering with a simple 5 minute CRYSIS 2 (yes,2) intro example

+12minutes for a 5 minute vid?...with 460GTX that'd be like reverse...for a 5 min vid it'd be..less than a minute..?

Yep,you're right..Drop support...now we'll have to wait for Vegas 13 ONLY IF THEY DO THE 600 SERIES SUPPORT..that'd be epic...5 minutes in 30 secs? ! grinhurt

"That's sony for me",yes...oh well," I WILL SURVIIVE"

Can't you spoof your GPU to 460? At least AMD can do that Smile

Ofcourse i can,i have it in my 660GTX box..but the thing is..i can get used until Vegas 13 comes out...if it comes out and FIXED...

It takes more time changing GPUs than the encoding itself!

I will surviiiive...

@Hfric: gonna try...if i find it Reaction

EDIT: DLd' the trial from the official site, used a keygen (Seems Legit..) and activated Reaction

Went to preferences, encoding or Render, whatever ,and activated ALL the 4 Hardware tickbox options

Rendering a CRYSIS 3 9 minute video on MPEG-4 "iphone/iPad" (1280x720 30Fps) = Around 6 minutes

I think the configuration's correct but...Did i chosen the correct Hardware options?...i'm very used with Vegas Pro 11's "Internet 720 HD" but i dunno if that's applied to VSX15

Yes,,i've tried searching on Google "Videostudio x5 Enable GPU Acceleration" but all i found was... Piratey download links Reaction ,not a single guide to see if i did correct on the GPUA thing...Youtube has the same prob Reaction

Also the program,even if it's able to use 64bits,it's installed in a 32bit folder...WTF?

Help?
