i also wonder how smooth the thing will look at that framerate...

but maybe... a new avenue for profit for hollywood? movie DLC? buy the bluray, buy the second set of frames extra?

it's just 1920x800 but the movie had an Imax version which should be in 16:9 for the full 1920x1080, right? Looks like they decided not to include that in the bluray?
Or was it not 16:9 in Imax? I don't know for sure.

far as i can see it was filmed in 2.35:1...
didn't think the whole film was done in 16:9... you sure the imax version wasnt just zoomed in?

that's entirely possible. I also just read it was apparently 'remastered' for imax, so it's quite likely that it's the imax version that's missing a part of the picture and not the other way around.
oh well, too bad, I like 16:9 on my TV.
