Ask a mod to change it ASAP.

After 11.000 posts, one should think you'd know how the hump works, and especially the void. And dont play innocent now... Rolling Eyes

Nice PC-build though, the case is absolutely not to my taste. I just hate leds (any color) everywhere, and prefer more sober style.

Also I read somewhere that you dont like to overclock. In that case, a cheaper Z77 mobo, or even a H77 (If you dont plan on using SLI) will be enough. The 3570K will also be a waste if you do not overclock. A normal 3570 or 3470 will be far enough.

This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Wouldn't it make more sense and avoid trolling and everything else if you created it in the correct section?

Reminds me a bit about my PC.. but just a cheaper copy.
I got the COSMOS 2 case, P8Z77-V Deluxe mobo, 3770k cpu, 2 of the GPU's you selected, 16 GB 2133 ram, the corsair AX850 psu and custom liquid cooling (cpu and gpus).
Got my pc around 6 months ago tho..

I hate you.

Just make sure those RAM heatsinks won't be blocked by the CPU heatsink. That's why I chose Low Profile sticks. Besides, RAM heatsinks barely make a difference anyway as long as there's the slightest air-stream passing by.

Why would you upgrade now? Wait till November or whenever the new consoles come out, the prices of hardware will inevitably drop. I'm still sporting a 460 1 gb and an i5 2.66, 99% games working on high/very high.

yeah, gonna wait another 10 months ... hm not ?

And toni, thanks for your useless comments, as usual.

And couleur, if you had read the first sentence in the first post ...

Oh you couldn't believe how little i actually care rofl...

For the 3750k, i'll overclock it to normal speeds, obviously (basicly changing the multiplier rofl). Maybe a bit more (fsb+multi). The not so much into OC'ing was more for the gpu, not the cpu.

I thought Ivy Bridge was similar to Sandy, ie. you don't touch the FSB/BCLK these days, you either get a K-version of the CPU and change the multiplier or get a non-K version and accept the max turbo frequency.

Why not get 2 660tis instead? They cost as much as a single 680 but give 30-50% more performance. Or did I misread and you are going to get another 680 later?

What makes you think I hadn't read it? I dont know why your earlier thread got deleted.

Anyway, what is the purpose of this thread exactly? Do you want suggestions? Approval?

I have a very similar setup, except that I use a Fractal Define R4 case, and a Thermalright Macho HR-02 cooler, both of which are very silent, the Macho allowing for a nice OC to the CPU (4.5Ghz).

And what games are you going to play use this rig now? It's better to wait for some "next-gen" ports and see how they're actually ported.

I mostly frequent russian oc sites. I gonna search for comprehensive test results. But here's something I watched today. A Titan vid.

The difference is even greater in higher res - not sure what kind of monitor you're going to be using.

Have you already ordered the GPU? Wait for the 2-slot card (same thing, only not that massive) for added aesthetics.

looks like a very solid setup, though the 7970 version is cheaper and a tad faster while having 3GB ram and leaves alot of room for overclocking

that 1200 case is a piece of garbage for what it costs.

Cheap as shit materials, that top fan goes kaput you're screwed on getting it out, took me an hour+ on my friends to get it out. Inside design is way behind in the times on top of the fact that it offers almost nothing for cable management, the space on the back of the MB tray and the door is almost nothing so you won't be routing many cables.

The NZXT Switch is only a little bit more and built HELL of a lot better and a lot more R&D was put into it. Hell even the Fractal cases are better and at a better price too.

Looking at the selection you have from the site you linked, 1200 would have been on the bottom of the list.

Cases that are better designed, better performance and better everything

So what made you change your mind about the GPU?
I thought from the prev topic that you decided to go 7970 because of price difference and games you get with them? Neutral

wonder why that spam decided, of all the threads possible, to hijack mine Smile

Oh and ordered my first batch of items today, already 2 out of 3 different.

Samsung 840pro 256gb instead the vertex 4, Asus P8Z77-V LE PLUS instead of the MSI mobo and the Antec Nine Hundred Two V3 Smile Also gonna buy me a 2TB HDD tomorrow and start migrating data, so i can get rid of my old hd's once and for all. They served me well for several years, but i don't trust them much anymore. Had several data corruptions and recoveries in the last few months ... they're dying Sad
