I really like British comedy:
Everything by the Pythons, The Office, The Young Ones, Bottom, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Blackadder and Allo Allo. I've probably forgotten a lot of good shows.

Yep, you left out the greatest of them all ..
Red Dwarf

The more things change, The more they stay the same.

More British Comedy:

Spaced
Only Fools & Horses
Fawlty Towers
The Office
The Royle Family

Also;

Futurama (Isn't hilarious, more of a good natured series)
The Simpsons (Earlier seasons the best, it's too all knowing now)
Will & Grace (many faults, heavily contrived - but still funny)

Fawlty Towers here and Allo Allo.

I don't get Seinfeld, either that or it's simply not funny. Likely the latter. Jut like the other show from Larry David, Curb your enthusiasm, i've seen one episode and i laughed exactly one time. The guy simply is not funny. John cleese on the other hand... Anybody say "don't mention the war" and i throw myself over the side lol

nothing ever beat monty python's flying circus in sketch series for me
every modern show seems to just have material for one episodes and then they repeat it for three seasons, like, say, little britain
as for non-sketch series...
spaced was awesome
does dead like me count? i think it's marked as dramedy or something.. amazing in any case
always loved dharma & greg - yea, the stories are really stupid, but the characters have a real warmth to them.. eventhough they're paper thin cutout characters, their character dynamics and acting work really well

I think weeds is funny too. I bit too dramatic funny IMO. I have only seen a handful of eps tho. My friend, she loves to watch it. Sometimes we are on the phone when it is on.
