yea there seems to be alot of tarantino hate on this forum that the moment you point out some ridiculously false statement like "di caprio same role as ever" you get called a fanboy Rolling Eyes

and thats not an opinion, "the movie is shit" is an opinion.

If people think DiCaprio is the same in all his movies, that's an opinion. Well, factually, he IS the same actor - but that's not the point.

I'm sorry - but that's all there is to it.

Not that I agree with it, but that's another story.

That said, I don't think he's the kind of actor who can transform. He's a competent actor - and I think he's done great work.

But he's not a "transformer" like DDL or Joaquin was in The Master.

That's another opinion.

I'm sure you think of your own opinion as fact - but that's just another opinion. One might say it's a very arrogant opinion, but that's hardly an improvement.

stand up guys.

im just not even really sure how id rate this movie. the ending was, i felt, a bit of a cop-out. I'm not sure that fleshing it out would have been better, all I can say is that i felt a little cheated.... either finish it, or dont start it, just end the film right at the start of the last scene, i think might have been better... but cutting out in the middle felt a little unfair and lazy.

also the start was kinda slow, and a lot of the film felt kinda uneven.

but the good... oh man, how much fun is it to see three old guys back together and up to their old tricks again for one last night... pacino, walken and arkin together make a fantastic trio.

There are definately great 'pieces' in here, i just wish they were tied together in a better film is what im saying.. I definately laughed, and I definately had a few 'fuck yeah!' moments thats for sure... it was fun, it was touching, but uneven and it didn't quite have the magic of, say, bucket list or space cowboys.

guess ill give it a 6/10... but oh man, i could imagine how much better it could have been, especially with those three guys.

Just dont talk to real airplane pilots about it. Laughing

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) Not only that, but also about the politics of finding someone to blame, even if it's the hero of an impossible situation.
