I'm expecting 36min, 44 average. Not great. I wonder how much you can get by just ditching 4xSMAA for regular old FXAA.

Gah, stupid me. It's SMAA, not MSAA. It's basically free anyway.

SMAA 1x is what the injector uses, different quality presets though.

2xt and 4x are a bit special and require support from the actual game. Smile
(Better but more demanding as noted in the above post.)

MSAA is better still and above that is SSAA or downsampling but it'll probably halve framerate or worse if attempted. Very Happy

Well, finished the campaign. Was about 10 hours on hardest, doing most of the optional secondary objectives and not really rushing it.

Enjoyed it, best FPS campaign I've played in a while anyway.

The MP isn't really my cup of tea since there isn't much teamwork, maybe in short bursts. Still the best 'deathmatchy' style MP I've seen in a while though. Still better than COD Smile

Most hungry graphics setting by far is shadows for me, so I recommending dropping that first as the only difference between low and very high seems to be slightly less definted shadows which doesn't bother me personally.

Most excited about the engine to be honest it really is the best looking out there by quite a way including when compared to Frostbite 2 (and I'm a huge BF3 fan). If they can patch up the performance a little and let the modding community go wild with it I'm really interested to see what people can produce. I'd love to see Fallout 4 on this engine Very Happy

I was reading a thread on neogaf if games are to be considered art or not. One poster talks about maybe some directors prefers game to run at max 720p and 30fps, how 1080p 60fps removes this "feeling"

Yeah i'm sure the 360/ps3 version of crysis 3 is the best "cinematic" vision by smearing god damn vaseline (massive bloom/blur+low resolution) Embarassed Very Happy

This ignorance is just staggering

FACT: PS3/360 should have had a major upgrade 5 YEARS ago.

2 years life span for a console ? Give me a break Laughing

Some games do feel ok with 30fps if motion blur is right, responsivenes and engine does the job. But EVERY game is better at 60fps. peroid

This feeling of nausea and headaches
I "get" the argument for low frame rates, because it will seem more movie-like. Though personally i don't really like movie-like.
But how in the fucking world is 1080p bad?!

It is understandable console gamers can stand 30 FPS better than us. Trying to use the mouse to click anything at 30 fps is just infuriating. You don't have that problem when the UI is design for controllers, primarily when using the D-Pad for navigating the UI.

I've been reading some journo-reviews and it seems that the game is really meant to be played in stealth mode (possibly + bow) after all, since the Rambo-style apparently isn't that good. I really hope it's true because that would make it 10 times more interesting for me. Razz

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Sneaking around, learning patrol routes and the different ways to attack from can be very satisfying, hearing the different AI team chatter and such is pretty interesting too. Smile

(One of the later sections in the first level had a pretty interesting battle where the last surviving Cell operative started screaming into his radio about how he was about to die and everyone else being dead already, it's funny how they adapt to different situations and their behavior changes.)

For me it's under C:\Users\Jonas\Saved Games\Crysis3
(Two config files for the settings and the encrypted profile file in a separate folder with the save files in another one, lots of auto-saves as usual for a Crytek Game.)

Well to be honest I got the impression in the first two levels that playing Rambo Style makes it really hard as everyone starts shooting, throwing greandes/EMP in your direction plus helicopters in some areas. I haven't played since last night as I'm not home right now but I'll be sure to check if it keeps being that way for ulterior levels.

I assume they are profile bound as with Dead Space 3 via Origin/EA and thus while you can replace a damaged save file it might be difficult to restore a profile. Smile

Try renaming the profiles folder and see if you can't load the save then but if you can't get the profile files back that means you'll lose the various unlocks so far.
(Which since it's the last chapter probably equals a fair amount of progress.)

Could perhaps be something with their cloud service as well if you have it enabled via Origin but I think it's the profile.
(It was probably saving or updating when it crashed thus it getting damaged.)

You want a FLT release?

Just FYI, 70% of FLT members are bulgarians. Wink

Some of them are posting on NFOHump as well. (no, not me.)

They can use that crappy 3D that doesn't take much of a performance hit.

I think Crysis 2 used only that kind of 3D (dunno about 3).
