Wasn't DX10 a "fail", like Win Vista was?
I think i remember reading something about it, many months ago. That's why DX11 came so fast.

how many hours are left until this post for the possible HK key to be released (and probably a crack) ?..i'm asking for hours as in "in # hours",not "10am/pm" (i dont know about timezones n stuff)

well i dont know which dx is more optimised and performs better 10 or 11, just hoping it wont be a slideshow in case of crysis 3 |
10 is worse optimized

Huh, didn't Metro only had DX9/11? 
Anyhow, i meant if you look at what DX10 added, DX11 does this way more optimized (if coded properly) then DX10

Ahhh I see. No I think it's 04:01 pm, as I finally managed to get Origin to show me the exact hour using Korea/Hong Kong VPN and it showed me 10:31 am which would be 04:01 pm in your timezone I think.

Well you can stall the game by looking at each and every object and going "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw" and take a few screenshots

Now that's a dumb argument. "19 chapters long"!!? That says nothing about how big and how much time it takes to finish a game. Afaik Crysis 1 didn't use chapters in that way and cannot be compared like that. Crysis had a much much bigger game world, with many different settings. Crysis 2 with it's chapters... I experienced it as a much shorter and more linear game. It doesn't matter which you or I think was most fun to play, Crysis 2 simply wasn't as huge or as long when it came to game time, perhaps because of the setting in an urban setting with a central park floating in the air. Crysis 3 seems to be even shorter than both Crysis 1 and 2. |
On some level you are right that the number of chapters doesn't mean much, but linearity doesn't mean much either. eg HL1/2 completely linear, but long games.
Having said that Crysis 2 is the single longest FPS I've played for years. It was easily 12h long the first time I played it, which makes it twice as long as the average FPS today. And Crysis 1 was maybe 3 hours longer than that.
Crysis 3 is going to be shorter than 2 but it's going to be less linear as well.
