Aside from a few movies that look like the ingame engine compared to the diablo ones(a game that has appeard a few years ago) and the storyline which doesn't offer anything and makes you think that at least the first game didn't pretend to have a interesting and imersive storyline the game is very dissapointing practicaly leveling down everything good that the first part had to offer and making it a BIG DISSAPOINTEMENT.
I understand that tastes are diferent from one person to another but this game is a "downgrade". |

he has some valid points there too. Although i m totally hooked on the game at the moment, i also feel that the game has its shortcomings.

i love when people dont tell what scale they use =)
I d give it 6.5/10 for gfx and sound, as its basically the old engine
7/10 for gameplay as its repetitve, but still has a good balance between going straight thru and doing every available side-quest possible
6/10 for story as its not really good, some parts even stupid, but still good enough for such a game
3/10 for movies. I came to expect either much better or at least rendered in the game-engine, but as it is now, its pretty fucked up
The funny thing is though, that all objective ratings aside, i m totally addicted to it and i love every second of playing it So my combined rating would be an 11/10 really |

I'm not a Diablo fanathic.I personally like RPGs that have a more complex storyline like BG2,Planescape Torment & CO. My primary pain in the ass is that they made another huge hype about this game and in the end it turned out(at least for me and another bunch of RPG fans) to be wayyyyy below expectations.
Like I said it depends on taste.
I usually try the game free before I buy it(I consider that a smart move ->don't you) and who'se gonna stop me from doing that...you Samiel:).
But enough talk if you like it then play...personally...I think it's crap.

There is no possible way you actually read any of the "huge hype" about this game if you had expectations of it being a serious RPG. DS1 was a really lame Diablo II clone, so expecting the sequel to be anything more than DS1 with most of the stuff that made it (and even more so, the expansion) suck fixed is pretty silly. In that regard, they succeeded, because it's a much better game than the original.
But is it GOTY material? I sure hope not, because that will mean the second half of 2005's releases suck just as much as the vast majority of the first half's.
And other than one crash as a cutscene was starting up, I haven't seen any technical issues at all, even on a mediocre system with all the graphics options turned on.

Wow! Get some wicked armour in Veteran - got the Dwarven Lords set (3 items total) & 1 from The Legend of the Fire King set - this 1 is awesome with loads of armour & health. Hee hee Magical Items are Precious !!
Ouch! The Arena last level you're surrounded by those Quanto demon enemies like level 63 - kicked my ass!! Have to level up more

So vet mode is actually worth it? I started playing but the haku areas are just too painful to have to play through a second time. Plus I really hate my current party.
But if the drops actually change and you see new mobs, it'd be worth it.

As it is, i'm enjoying the game, but I haven't spent that much time on it yet because i'm playing a few other things.

Basically it goes a little something like this;

Essentially any save games you have during the use of the 2.0 cracked exe will not work with 2.1 cracked or not. It hasnt made me go n buy the game, infact its made me stop and uninstall it because i cant be bothered to go through all of it again....
