Ive been planning on building a HTPC for a while now and collecting parts here and there. Ive finally assembled all the parts and some parts i had from my previous builds. So where the problem occurs is my PSU (560w) only has one 4x 12v rail and one PCIx Trying to read on different threads and such lead to nothing im still as confused. Can i use it without damaging anything? Its an old Core 2 Duo im powering with 8 gigs of ram and an 220gt Cheers

Regarding more cables. Ive tried to find some from molex to 4 pin, but somehow those ive come across are for pcix only... Ill have a look at some stores tomorrow Doubt ill bother with OC'ing it hence its going to be a media center. And maybe ill get another gpu so the misses can do some minor gaming on it

I remember a few years back seeing some screens of an ASUS board where the second set of 4x12V was covered by some sort of sticker/plastic cap Poker Face

Thankfully I made my PSU purchase with stuff like this in mind, and ended up needing it for the mobo at the time (and that is still running Razz

4pin will work no problem. I've used my pc that way with old psu for over a month 3080 \| ps5 pro Sin317-"im 31 years old and still surprised at how much shit comes out of my ass actually ..."
