Goddamn it. Anyone else have constant stuttering and freezing for a few seconds every once in a while? It really pisses me off!
I did a search on the interwebz but can't find any solution :/
Nope, this is one of the smoothest games I've played.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
The only weird stutter that I've noticed is in Isaac's animation when he's leaning towards the bench.
But my framerate remains the same so I dunno what's up with that.

Hmm wasn't there something like that in the previous games? Try enabling VSync although not via the in-game options as that might cap framerate to 30 but via another utility or the GPU drivers.
If it is enabled in-game try disabling it and then re-enabling it via a third party program.
(You'd want to try using VSync but not the in-game alternative since it might lower framerate to 30 instead of 60 or higher.)
EDIT: Also you could try to set shadows at smooth or high but not high(smooth) and see if that helps.
Played until chapter 2, deleted. What a boring fucking game.
I managed to reach chapter 3 or 4. Don't even care, I quit. No way I'm gonna finish this crap - it's another ME3 all over again. I can't remember previous games being that bad, but this game looks really, reallly dumb, like they didn't even try. And it's insanely boring.
Universal ammo? Lazy bastards. Next time lose the inventory altogether! And there are way too many health or ammo drops which makes it incredibly easy on normal diffuculty, I guess mainly because it's meant to be played as co-op now which ruins every single game these days like a bad virus - call it Kinect if you will. The story is extremely lame and feels rushed. Everyone's speech is so fake and the voice actors sound way too professional. You can actually picture them during cutsenes behind the mic, reading their boring lines with empty looks.
The gameplay? When I had to go fix yet another machinery with kinesis, I just couldn't force myself to do it anymore. Enough is enough. 3rd same game in a row and it's not even that good anymore? Why are you milking it then? It doesn't have to be Assassin's Creed, stop it.
a technical question:
Does the DS3 game engine use DX 9 (so it may run with Windows XP) or does it require DX10/11 support (Win Vista/7) ?
thanx

I hope Tomb Raider is good. If not, fuck gaming.
Personally I find this game more "fun" than the last games, however the horror & scariness level of this game has dropped down to null compared to 1 & 2.
reading the comments and considering that you guys liked the first two games and i didnt, maybe will try this one and find it good, ill try it out after i finish devil may cry

Well, the second game really doesn't want me to play it. The problem I had with the old graphics card seems to be gone (the one that was actually present in both previous games; the one that consists of the graphics driver shutting down every minute or so making the game unplayable). That's gone, yeah?! No problem, the game throws something else at me. I've had this for about 4 times now. When I sometimes die, it gets stuck at the loading screen. It doesn't freeze, it just loads endlessly. It's really annoying. These guys really need to understand what post-release support means. I'm really loosing the will to continue playing when this keeps happening, so I might end up just watching a LP series on YT, like I did for the first game. I like the universe, I think the games are quite good, but I always have problems with them, which makes playing them really frustrating. If this one doesn't have such problems I might end up liking it the best since the horror aspect (the scares and all that I mean, not the overall horror theme) isn't something that I see as a plus in a game. I understand this is more like a SF action game with a horror theme.

I loved the first two games and love the third as well. Each game has it's strengths and weaknesses but each games strong points win through. It is the weakest of the 3 but it's its still a good entry into the series.
