Argo - 7.5/10
Great movie, but not at all what I expected Very Happy (All I knew before watching the movie was that it was based on real events, a little over dramatized tho)

The collection - 6.5/10
DAFUQ, a decent horror movie Surprised They don't come along that often!

Django Unchained (cinema) - 8.0

 Spoiler:

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Quite alright, well filmed for a movie with plot this simple.

One of the biggest pros of the movie is that you can't tell how it will end until the last minutes Razz (assuming that you don't know the historical background/ real story). Being ignorant on the subject once again pays off! Laughing *proudly nods*

The ending was clear after the first 30 minutes since it's a typical Hollywood movie. As good as it is, it still is a very cliche Hollywood film.

Weren't you annoyed with the "jolliness" of the movie

I think it is a minor grievance compared to all its other merits. Yes sometimes it is somewhat silly, but in my opinion it never detracts from all the good things, like the visuals, characters, actors, narrative and storytelling. A great, great movie in my opinion.

Yes it was. Especially that "fuck-yeah" success montage looked out of place. Only thing missing was high-fives every 2 scenes Very Happy

Haha honestly I thought it was different this time. I approached it with an open mentality trying to picture several different outcomes (because it can't be that obvious can it grinhurt) and in the end, even if it wasn't surprising, it felt good anyway.

I only liked Affleck's character. The other ones looked like slightly-educated variants of average Yee-haw Joes and Janes. Laughing

The movie was solid, though. Affleck may not be a salient actor, but he knows his stuff when it comes to directing.

I think Ben Affleck is a great actor, to be honest. Never understood the hate he got. Of course he has been in some serious shitty movies but so has De Niro Very Happy

Pretty much the best animation from last year. I hope they get the Oscar because they deserve it much more than the overrated Merida.

I rewatched Django based on all the bitching about my negative opinion.

Guess what, I was wrong. It's not that bad.

It's not THAT good either.

But, I'll give it a generous 7/10.

Taken 2

thrilling, high octane and fast paced..this is an awesome sequel. had me taken , pardon the pun Very Happy , from start to finish. liam neeson kicked ass and that last fist fight was brutal. thats how you do a fight. punches kicks and all that good stuff. slick ending too with that Albanian father.
bring on Taken 3!

I think not being drunk towards the end, and being prepared for the "revenge" sequence helped a bit.

Also, for some reason, I think the soundtrack was better the second time - and I liked DiCaprio's acting more.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012) - 9/10

I'm going to have to turn in my man card, because I almost broke down like a little bitch. I held it together, but just barely. It definitely reminded me of what it was like to be in high-school 10-13 years ago. I liked this one more than "The Intouchables", but only because I could relate so well to the main character.

I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Pretty good low-budget film, though it could have been better. Sheridan Smith proves again that she is an awful actor. Jack O'Connell is very good one more time.

That's odd, I thought everyone must've seen Happiness by now. Razz The pedophile character is merely one part of the movie, it's not ALL about kiddie fiddling. It'd be like saying you don't want to watch Sleepers because of Kevin Bacon's character. Worth watching for sure.

Robot & Frank

6/10 - Langella is one of those actors you love to hate, which I did even in this movie. Laughing

Not a bad little movie, but unless you want to judge indie productions separately from studio productions, it doesn't deserve more than that.
