Just out of curiosity sake, can you still access the web on the PS3? Just not PSN? Also, just to rule out ISP DNS issues, try using the OpenDNS addresses in the internet settings on the PS3 .. just select custom rather than easy and leave all the rest blank EXCEPT the DNS entry, which you should replace with these two;

208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

Well you don't, not really, I was basically just saying that the only settings you change is for DNS only. Sorry for the confusion. If you can't get OpenDNS working then you might try changing those addresses for GoogleDNS instead;
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

I snagged this from another site;
Quote: |
SETTINGS > NETWORK SETTINGS > INERNET CONNECTION SETTINGS > WIRED CONNECTION OR WIRELESS >
WIRED CONNECTION > CUSTOM > MANUAL SETTINGS > AUTO DETECT > AUTOMATIC > DO NOT SET > MANUAL ( DNS1 : 208.67.222.222 , DNS2 : 208.67.222.220 ) > AUTO > DO NOT USE > ENABLE > X > X
Or;
WIRELESS > ENTER MANUALLY > ( ENTER SSID OR CONTINUE ) > ( CHOOSE SECURITY OR CONTINUE ) > CUSTOM > AUTO > DO NOT SET > MANUAL ( DNS1 : 208.67.222.222 , DNS2 : 208.67.220.220 ) > AUTO > DO NOT USE > ENABLE > X > X
|
Obviously change the DNS1/2 addresses to Google's ones if OpenDNS doesn't work. Failing that, I don't know what else to suggest... perhaps it's a problem with Sony's servers? They did go down yesterday (or day before?) for emergency maintenance and are only just now coming back up.
