Quick query: How do I download the complete package file for multiMAN's latest version? I mean the one which includes all the covers and stuff. I'm moving from Kmeaw 3.55 (finally!) to Rogero's 4.30 v2.05. I have multiMAN 04.14.00 FULL + 04.14.01 UPDATE file with me. If I install this and run the update for the latest one, will it work?

yep, just make sure you have the absolutely newest version of multiman at this moment, and it will fix games with 4.31 updates correctly.

Can you explain how this is possible? Wouldn't that require 4.31 CFW?

Is there any way to check which version of Rogero I have? It's 4.30, but I don't know which version. Does it matter?

Then what exactly is the base version requirement that everyone keeps talking about? The latest update file is around 12.6 Megabytes or so.

@Shawn_Hunter : i think 4.18.00.

@Mister_s : 4.31 FW uses same keys for encryption as 4.2X and 4.30. Just a different header that multiman patches (easy). No doesn't matter which 4.30 it is.

not every version has complete pkg. latest multiMAN FULL is 04.18.00 so get that and install. then get multiMAN v04.19.04 UPDATE and install. done and done Smile

well, i'm really interested in getting a ps3 with 3.55 from ebay. but what is this i hear about games not wanting to boot without a disc? does that mean you just have to put a random BD in the drive?

so with more frequent freezes i had been getting recently, i checked my ps3 temps in multiman and they usually move between 75-80 °C.
this is pretty high for a ps3 and since the internal and external hdds failing are out of the question (since they were recently formatted and i got an aditional 32 gb usb stick which also has games on it freeze) i am going to have to disassemble it and apply new thermal paste.

what ps3 temps do you people have after playing a game?
also did anyone successfully fix freezing issues after applying new paste, and by how much approximately were the initial temps reduced?

its child´s play to reapply thermal paste in a 360, but with my CECHH04 PS3 it can apparently be very tricky to reassemble it once you have removed the mobo, not looking forward to it Neutral
(though i strongly advise anyone in the same predicament as myself to do it too, since these are warning signs of a probable ylod in the near future)

My normal temps with my fat PS3 after playing a game are: CPU=70ºC; RSX=60ºC.

No freezes whatsoever.

your temps are fine imo, especially the RSX which is almost 20°C cooler than mine.
the annoying thing is that the ps3 has heatspreaders between the heatsink and the die,
now the heatspreader on the rsx is easy to remove, the one on the cell is glued with sillicone making its removal a risky endeavour without modified tools Sad
i guess for now i will just apply the paste to the rsx, its heatspreader and the cell heatspreader and see how it goes.

Hi guys, I'm going to try the rebug FW to play games discless, but I have a question. There's REBUG 4.30.1 STANDARD and REBUG 4.21.2 REX EDITION, both released January 3rd. Does this mean I have to get 4.21.2 since 4.30.1 isn't REX?

Well I installed the multiMAN 04.14.00 FULL package file and applied the v04.19.04 update over it and it worked fine. Smile

Also finally moved on from Kmeaw's 3.55 CFW after 2 years to Rogero's 4.30 v2.05.

I'm just a bit curious as to why Rogero decided to spoof 4.31 instead of just making a proper 4.31 CFW?

probably just lazy since no real reason to waste time making and testing that cfw. 4.31 doesn't have any new keys so 4.30 can play everything that "requires" 4.31.

I have Dead Space Extraction .PKG file from the original Dead Space 2 retail disc. I installed the PKG file and launched it from the XMB short-cut, but not only did it not boot, it froze up the entire console. Had to shut down the console for it.

Any idea how to get it to work on Rogero's 4.30 firmware? It worked perfectly on 3.55.

I'm trying to install ni no kuni PSN which is 4 4gb file I read that automatically packs them into one didn't happen to me also install pkg takes a hell of time using latest Rogero and latest Multiman

installing pkgs take a long time, nothing to do with cfw or multiman, blame sony for that. how long it takes to mount a pkg on the other hand can be affected by cfw and multiman.
