Anyway, languages are English, French, German and Polish in the FLT release (LanguageSetup.exe)

It's a fun game, though a bit too simplistic. It's also not worth the full price they're asking for it, they should've gone for the 20 dollar mark.
I do get crashes with the flt release though, doesn't seem to be very stable.

PS. this game has one of the most useless minimaps I have ever seen. Have these guys never heard of icons?

Hmmm, simplicity in a strategy game is not really what I wanted to hear Sad

I've always been a fan of complexity and intricate mechanics in this kind of game....

Based on the size of games, you know what to expect. Allthough there has been some major changes in the last years on sizes. Some perfect games are small, some are large.

Compression is getting better and better.

Anyway, you are right. It hasn't anything to do with the game itself. The case with the most people is, when the size is very small, they won't even try it theirselfs.
Mostly when a game gets a release size of '8G >', people will take a look.

A very deceiving prejudice. Crusader Kings 2 was CD-sized without DLCs (barely above 1 gig with everything to date) and it's one of the most enjoyable grand strategy games out there right now.

Anyhow: tried the first mission and it's meh-ish so far. Will play a few more and will try sandbox just to avoid premature judgement, but so far the strategy element does not impress (although I'm yet to see more of it, so take it with a grain of salt) and the combat seems like just a cheap imitation of the XCOM formula.

Actually yes, if you delete the hundred of 1080p bik videos of Max Payne 3, it's a 1-hour game Troll Face

I think it's very stable. Not one hiccup or a crash in a now 6 hour playing marathon of this game.
Minimap is nothing special. There are icons, I don't know what is bothering you ...? Question

What I do miss is checking what the latest mission briefing was.

It's definately worth of try. I'm having loads of fun with it. I'm gonna buy it on Steam next sale. Very Happy

Size is a rough indicator of graphical quality. For example, when Skyrim was 6GB, it was clear that it wasn't going to have particularly high resolution textures and I assume Omerta won't either. The demo looked fine and while I don't subscribe to the snotty "graphics don't matter" attitude, they're certainly not the most important thing. I was surprised how good the ~700MB demo's graphics were, perhaps because of fancy shader stuff for sun reflections and rain making them look more detailed.

Are there icons? In the demo there were coloured dots which barely helped. Better than nothing - just.

I love GoG, they're what game buying in the 21st century should be like. You buy the game, you get the game (and manual and maybe some art/soundtrack) which you can download whenever you want as many times are you want - all without DRM or any other bullshit aside from their optional downloader software. They do needlessly making the alternative a bit inconvenient - downloading ArmA2 without their download was 10 parts for no reason - that's the only thing and it's minor.

It's so refreshing to have an option that is based around being as good for their customers as they can. Normally (Origin, even Steam) it's based on being as controlling as they can possibly get away with, as if their customers are just inconveniences.

They should've used icons on the minimap so you can see at a glance what is what. You also can't zoom out fully for a good overview, so I have to "scan" an area so to say at times. I miss proper overview screens, but I can live with that since there's not that much going on anyway.

It is a fun game, I'm really enjoying it, but I doubt it has any kind of replay value. For 15-20 euros I would've bought it though (I'll see whether RU keys work). I just expected something more intricate.

Yes, and no they can't / won't do anything. There were games before that me and others activated with VPN, and we still have the games.

I was expecting Xcom with gangsters, was I disappointed Laughing For a full price game I expect a lot more, some indie games have better production values then this.
