Combat feels like x-com, its turnbased with action points and movement points. There isnt really a central base building or such. In missions you have your buisnesses and so, but every time new map comes you start over your 'base' building.(Don't know about skirmish, maybe its different there.) You can lvl up your gang members and gain new skills, so yeah it is little bit like xcom with gangsters.

You guys have gotten me excited to play this. Haven't spoiled myself with the demo yet, but I want a modern crime game badly. And with turn-based combat? YUSSS.

graphics - 3\10
quests - 1\10
fights - 6\10
Creativity 2\10
overall a boring game with very bad level design.
Why walk, when you can ride.

I can bet my arse that a lot of today's kids never heard about Gangsters, Chicago 1930, Constructor and Mob Wars. Which means the gameplay style from Omerta is a complete alien to them.

He is right about gfx though, they could have invested more effort there. It look very bland. If RU keys work, I'll probably buy it. The demo was limited, I hope the management options are better in later levels.
