Apparently the reason is because mobile gamers are used to buying all the shit and they need instant gratification. Yay todays gamers, press 1 button to win the game, whats the faking point even to play the game at that point.
“There’s a lot of players out there, especially players coming from mobile games, who are accustomed to micro-transactions. They’re like “I need this now, I want this now”. They need instant gratification. So we included that option in order to attract those players, so that if they’re 5000 Tungsten short of this upgrade, they can have it.
So if they want it now, why not just give it to them? Why charge them money for it? They're used to microtransactions? Ah, in that case, better continue the trend and butt rape them from every direction. They're essentially charging people to cheat, we used to just have codes for that sort of thing, now the code is a credit card number.
Anyone who thinks this sort of thing is a good idea should be shot into outer space. They've decided to captialise on what was always free.
as long as it's all optional let the fuckers pay for their instant gratification couldn't care less.
IMO, the problem is much simpler than this. It's not even related to a particular point of view.
You want videogames? You have to pay.
You want to smoke? You have to pay.
You want crack? Guess what...
Spoiler:
See what I did there? *hint *hint
OH, BUT WAIT... !!! The product owners decided to get the most out of their product and empty (if possible) your wallets. Big deal... Nothing new under the sun. And speaking of sun... getting out in the nature or climbing mountains will make you a healthier and richer in spirit person.
In conclusion, people just shouldn't buy the crap they put out. It's THAT simple. WTF, are they going to die if they won't play DS3, or what?! For the love of videogames, there's plenty of devs that deserve respect and plenty of games that satisfy your need. Oh, and almost most of them are "FREE", haha.
P.S.
Spoiler:
But, ofc, the main issue is brainwashing, as, in this case, people convinced to buy this crap.
Only played this for a few chapters, but so far it seems good enough, still very atmospheric.
Weapon crafting is apparently where they invested their time at and for that reason I can see why they went for the unified ammo type(like in Mass Effect's case).
I smell mainstreaming.
They also made it so that weapons don't take your inventory space and you can only wield 2 weapons at a time.
Don't know of course if it is an upgradable feat, adding more usable weapon slots.
But I will play this through and definetly try the pc version. Buying on the other hand...we shall see.
