there is no direct comparison, but many see this game as a "tales of ..." series and pokemon mix.

i d say, along with xenoblade chronicles on wii, its one of the 2 jrpgs of this console gen far above the rest in a class of their own.

it is also the only good jrpg of this gen with a classic overworld, something i missed alot in this gen.

Wow just wow.... just played 6 hours in a row and i still feel the urge to play further. Great game in every aspect!! I love the graphics!!

Btw... i run this game from external and so far no crashes. Ingame Book takes like 30 seconds to load but i'm okay with that.

Empty again Sad

If you played Dragon Quest 8 on the Playstation 2 then it feels like a follow on from that, somany things are the same and done in the same style ...... DQ8 is my favourite game ever so I love this

I have a 1TB external USB drive, what is the format that it needs to be in to get PSN games on it externally like all you folk?

I'm using PSNStuff to grab this game, and want to go the external route..

well, for psn games the easiest way is:

download gamedata app and install it, then restart ps3.
on the xmb you should now have the icon saying "GameData [HDD]".
start the app, it will show a black screen for a few seconds, then throw you back to the xmb,
now the icon should say "GameData [USB]".

this means that from now on everything you install, gets installed on the ext hdd (folder "GAMEI")
instead of internal hdd (folder "game").

to switch back to installing on internal, simply start the app again and it will change back to "HDD".

you dont need to reinstall all the stuff if you already have it on internal hdd, simply copy the gamedata or psn games from hdd0/game to usb00x/GAMEI, then switch gamedata app to USB.

btw, instead of downloading straight from psnstuff, just copy the link with alt+rightclick and leech it via a download manager wiht multiple threads, these sony links are just too slow otherwise.

Goin' pretty quick for me. Smile

Still not sure of the format that the drive needs to be... I'm guessing NTFS is not ok.

nope, needs to be fat32, ntfs is only barely supported by multiman as storage, but you can run games from it.
i use a 1 tb drive with a 600 gig fat32 partition and a 300 gig ntfs partition for storing games with files over 4gb, that cant be run from external drive.

Or is ther any way to install it from external? Again... how do I fit it in fat32?

Thank you

yea just ftp them over, or alternatively you could put them on your ntfs drive, activate ntfs driver in multiman, then copy the files over to the internal hdd via mmos (start+select in multiman)

You can also split them on pc, copy to external and multiman will merge and install.

Can the reactpsn thing be done without an external HDD? Or will a 32GB USB drive suffice?

@The_Zeel: that psnstuff app is great, thanks.

The-Zeel; good to hear you got everything to work Smile

Quick question about reActPSN: which version do I need for Rogero 4.30 v2.05? Is it 2.23? I see that there's also an updated version, 2.25, but not sure if that's just for 4.21

What version are you guys using?

luckily, im not plagued by any freezes now (except the wizard book). Got 12 hours played and i had said hardcore freeze only once in the beginning.

Im on external with the duplex and have all the options in multiman launch thingy turned off (bd mirror, usb bla, etc.). Dunno if that has anything to do with it.
