sure that works with the cable which is in the box (or was with the old ones, dunno about the newer ones and slims). but playing will be no fun, tried that ages ago with fifa 08 and pgr3 or so. everything blurred and text not really readable

like janz mentioned biggest issue will be small text that is optimized for HD resolutions. in many games it will be simply unreadable.

unlike 360, ps3 doesn't have vga adapter cable or support monitor resolutions. you are out of luck.
easiest way to play ps3 in HD is to buy a 1080p LCD monitor with HDMI input and audio output (so you can use external speakers). such monitors are really really cheap nowadays.

lol sorry brain fart. yes 360 has official vga cable but it's expensive, there are cheap 3rd party ones but most of them are terrible, introduce too much problems because they are bad quality, not shielded properly etc. you get what you pay for.
i would instead invest that money in upgrading monitor or hdtv with hdmi inputs.

By RCA ports you talking about yellow, red and white? If your CRT has component inputs you would be amazed how well it might? look. Might still look like shit though. lol

FFS your right, i was wrong. Happy!!. WTF is the point in your posts to me? Look at me i right!!! Sad!!
Many people don't realize that good CRT TVs can still have an amazing picture. All i was getting at. Not trying to be right or wrong, don't care actually.
