Gave the game i try... It's interesting and different from the previous DMCs...
I like that Dante is westernized (tho he is a bit .. punkish.. ) and the whole limbo thing
On the other hand this game could be easily renamed to "Inception: the game".. with all the reshaping levels and the dreamlike sequence within the limbo within.. yeah... xD
Also, just fought a succubus ..

Game is pretty awesome. I'm liking it so far. Combat system is not better then the earlier games, it's almost the same but I miss Dante's stances like trickster. Wish they were present in this game too. Besides that, combat is extremely fun and platformers here and there are pretty well as well.
What's cheapest place to buy this?

something strange: i cant activate the devil trigger via keyboard but it works with gamepad.

Try pressing the Backspace key to skip them. Really silly key to use but that happens to ports.

An excellent DMC game. My only complaint is related to Dante's looks but this aside..2013 started in a very good fashion.

I just started playing this and I don't get the comments about the character's looks.
Different, yes. Bad, I don't see why.. there's nothing extraordinary good or bad about his looks.

guys how is the pad controls? on keyboard they suck big time, i could do some really fancy crap on dmc3 or 4 on keyboard but on this i just press wrong buttons all the time, really stupid design of controls, on keyboard. Very annoying, im at chapter 12 and still press wrong buttons like hell, AWFULL CONTROLS and i repeat on keyboard maybe on pad are better.

it's not that good on the pad either.....never tried the KB in the first place but i would imagine that it's sucks so much more.

yea i know this type of games should be played on pads, but dmc3 and 4 was just fine and like i said i had no problem pulling amazing combos. Sure i did pull some S or SSS combos even in this one but i "don't feel" the controls like i should to make insane combos, clunky. Im sry if my english is poor ^^

Yeah, no... he looks like a fucking methhead. I wouldn't care that much, especially since there's the skin, but his attitude is really annoying too.

actualy after i did analize a bit, the first dante from the original series was more EMO and craving for "COOL" white hair? when you go outside you see people with white hair? or blue or any of that crap? he is more normal looking and his attitude is just fine, as it should be. There are just annoyed kids that can't handle a more mature aproach than that "cool white hair" dante.

And why does he have to look normal? Who the fuck is asking for that?! You know what... I'm not even going to try anymore. It's already clear that this piece of westernized crap is a success and they won't drop it after this game. They'll continue with this idiotic style because apparently people like it more.
