So Metro is safe.

Sad to see Red Faction, Homeworld, Juiced and Vigil without a new home.

Hopefully Blackbird Interactive and Rob Cunningham the co founder of Relic (Started Blackbird Interactive and the main art designer for Homeworld) will pick up Homeworld later on when the scraps get sold by the creditors.

The guys at Vigil should launch themselves into the Kickstarter world, I bet they would receive an amazing support without useless publishers around Razz

Yeah, Kickstarter all the things! \o/ Maybe the need of an external publisher might diminish if more and more companies did that. Laughing

They shaped their own game now. Why would they need the TQ IP? Would be a waste of money. I think Activision/Blizzard is the best candidate for the TQ IP.

Ubisoft 'looking forward to working with' Patrice Désilets

Quote:
In an interview with the Financial Post, Mallat expressed optimism at the prospect of Désilets' return.

"As a matter of fact, I've known Patrice for a while," he said. "I've known Patrice for 13 years and I know him very well, he's a great talent and I respect him as a creator.

"We're very happy to look forward to working with him again. As a matter of fact, he's actually in France right now because he's giving a speech at a University. He's coming back tonight and I'm having dinner with him tonight," he added in the interview which reportedly took place yesterday.

Mallat declined to confirm whether or not Désilets will accept a return to his former employer and remain with the Montreal studio.

@Neon: if I remember correctly the 'official' reason was that he wanted to be more independent without Ubi's constraints, but who knows, the truth could be different Razz

Now Sega has both the Total War and the Company of Heroes franchise. That's an important part of PC-exclusives.

Seems Take Two is still going to use Yukes as the developer so basically they are just replacing THQ as the publisher. It will be interesting to see if THQ was holding Yukes back or not as their Japanese wrestling games like Wrestle Kingdom 2 on the PS2 was great as it played much more like to old Aki N64 games then the way WWE 13 plays.

I like to watch wrestling, but playing it, not so much. I knew that the games are pretty popular, so i thought the fans will be interested in the fate of the IP, hence the posting. Sharing is caring, right?! Very Happy

The wrestling games are a lot of fun online with friends. Maybe with Take Two publishing it, they may release a PC version as well.

Yeah the PSP ones were hard to play due to not having a second stick or the extra shoulder buttons.
