|
 |
yes.
I came home early today. went to my room and put on my headset, listened to music and played some games.
after a while I've decided to make some coffee, so I went to my mum's flat, because she has an amazing coffee machine. She also came home when I was in the kitchen and after a couple minutes someone started ringing the doorbell like the world was going down.
I didn't open the door, went to the bedroom window and saw a guy that I've never ever seen in my life before. I asked him who he his and what he wants. He said "OPEN THE DOOR, I NEED TO GET TO MY BROTHER, THE COPS ARE ON THE WAY! THEY'RE LOOKING FOR HIM!"
then he asked me if I had keys to the flat of his brother (our tenant) and I said "yea, we have spare keys somewhere, I need to look for them. He told me to give him the keys and I said, that I can't just give my tenants keys to a stranger. He told me that the cops will arrive in about 2 mins. - I've told him that I'll give the keys to the cops then, but not to him, because I don't know him.
cops arrived in 2 mins. -> opened the front door, gave them the keys, they went upstairs and got in. I didn't get into the flat, I was waiting in front of the door when I suddenly heard the other cop yelling to the other one "BODY....BLOOD....CORPSE".
well, that's when my body began to shake like a fucking blender. the brother didn't say anything, except that he'll sue me for not letting him into his brothers flat and for waiting for the police. he walked outside and phoned other family members.
2 ambulance's arrived, like 3 emergency doctor's, even my own doctor because they couldn't figure out why he died...well, that's what I've heard...not sure. then there were 2 detectives, they'll talk to me tomorrow and ask me some questions I think. there was also a shrink for the family members, they were standing outside and crying... poor kids
and yea....there was the car for the corpse...what do you call it in english? "hearse"??...
fuck...me. what a day.
I still don't think that he killed himself, because he was such a nice guy. never had troubles with him, always paid his rent. Dude...wtf.

Wow that sucks kuro! I guess you were right to not hand out the keys but talking about that wont change the stuff that happened, for all you know he could've been dead for 20 minutes already...
I can already read the headlines "Nachbar von MÖRDERKILLERSPIELE Spieler tot aufgefunden!"

I hope that won't happen. My brother has some lawyers as friends and they also said that I did the right thing according to our law. My brother also said that the guy was already dead a couple hours.... oh well..... I just want something good to happen in my life once...just once. Just like toni said.....so many bad things happened in the past. :/

Why the fuck would he sue you? For not letting him possibly tamper with the body? In case it was a, you know, homicide? Stay strong, bro, you'll get through this.

Man, talk about shitty luck. Well, look on the bright side, you should be able to rent that property out to a certain niche of clientele now (murder/suicide-junkies) and charge more (assuming that you market the rental to the correct people). I recently sold a house for a friend of mine (I sell mostly commercial real-estate as a side job, but sometimes I'll help out a friend by listing a residential property or two) that his grandmother had been murdered in. It wasn't a high-profile case or anything but we had a few odd inquiries (three different people, to be exact) into what had transpired. In my state, if a person asks about the death history of a house, you are required to inform them of any suicides or murders that have taken place inside the residence (but if it happened in the yard or on the roof, you aren't legally required to tell them anything, but you are ethically bound by the real estate commission to do so anyway). The few people that asked about the recent homicide still seemed interested (if even slightly more so) so I decided that we needed to market the house to that type of clientele. We ended up selling the property for 6.5% above market value (which is almost unheard of in this current economy) to a couple that were moving here from Connecticut where they had lived in a house where a triple murder-suicide had taken place. They said the energy was off the charts (fucking hippies...).
I know that this type of shit sucks, but, if you can rent this to a (somewhat twisted) person for more money, that could be the bright side...
And, as per my agreement with my friend, I got half of the difference between the market value and what we sold it for (a nice little bonus, indeed).

Don't worry about that. He was probably just nervous. And if he does sue you, it won't be such a problem either, you did the right thing.

I wouldn't give a fuck when I get a nice place and someone died in there. Hell, I wouldn't even give a fuck if 20 people killed each other in somekind of sick twisted satanic orgy. If the place is nice and the rent is reasonable.
Superstitious people I guess.

I can only guess the brother suspected his brother suspected something had happened to his brother and panicked and tried to get there to help him. However, since he was already dead there was nothing he could've done, and with the cops already on the way there's not much else to say about it.
It was not your fault Kurosaki, you just did what you were supposed to do. For all you know that guy could've been a stalker/violent ex that was trying to get to his ex.

If you have not seen anything of his brother maybe hes been detained
he might of had something to do with it and needed to get in fast before cops showed up cause he left some incriminating evidence lol.

Sighhhh wish my country didnt have such a shitty gun control law.... anyone can have a gun, anyone can show and walk around with a gun in their belts, anyone can start handling a gun in public, shoot to the air, carry silenced guns.... ugh its a fucking mess.
Oh well, chill man, you have no fault in this, lets just wait to hear the story, only thing you can do is hear what happened.

thats quite harsh. Remind me of my friends story, he had dentist appointment at 8am and it quite dragged little longer so he calls the boss if he can take day off and boss says sure why not. but also his other co-worker had her day off...
needless to say boss had heart attack in the office, and he was all alone in there, he started to dial 911 on his phone but the call never went through
