Exactly. Normally I check the first 2-3 episodes and I'm good to know if I'll stick to it through the end or not.

In desperate cases like Revolution even one episode is enough
It's the same for me too, even though some shows suffer from slow starts (I still remember when I watched the first couple of episodes of Dexter in 2006 and said "meh", quitting with no remorse.. what a bad decision that was xD). Fortunately I've given it a second chance this year and absolutely loved it.

I dont know, the plot seems kinda whack to me and the team behind it havent done anything I enjoy.
And yes I enjoy Dexter, but directing a TV episode is hardly proof that you are a master storyteller.

But it's FOX so it'll probably either be cancelled or turn to shit after one season. *Here's to hoping it doesn't* |
Well I trust FOX more than ABC, NBC, CBS, or The CW. Fringe survived for 5 years. And yeah, Terra Nova and Alcatraz were cancelled but those shows were awful and the execs knew it.

No but I mean, the reason that 2-3 episodes are enough for me (even for slow start shows) is that they have to be pretty bad or not at all of my personal taste for me to not keep watching them. Example of this last category would be Touch. I liked the pilot but after two more episodes I just said to my self "no, this formulaic stuff isn't for me". In the case of Dexter, I literally loved it right from the start, and the first season is actually still my favourite of them all, especially the finale and ending scene.

What a great example to show the quality of Fox.

Please don't put Awake and Fringe in the same category. They gave it a "chance" because enough people watched it.

The new President of Fox, Kevin Reilly, seems like a pretty cool guy tho. He used to work at NBC and helped get "Friday Night Lights" renewed after its first (great) season which had abysmal ratings.

This was a bit shit.
Endless cliches, flat TV pacing and boring characters.
Also, more nerd trolling from the TV writers...
"We need to rip apart the library's ethernet"
"Carroll never visited the same web address twice, which suggests he's using various URLs..."

How fucking hard is consulting someone who knows about it. They have no problems consulting soldiers about shooting and shit. Why not ask a networking guy? | Kurwa please...
You wouldn't want a gun nut mad about you getting his shit right, but nobody cares about the nerds

Didn't like it much, would have been much better in the hands of The Killing team.

yeah, I agree. Potential is there, hopefully it doesn't turn to shit after a few eps.
The IT stuff makes me cringe, but I've learned to ignore it in time. Will keep watching for now
