@W123 how long it took to ship?

Also is it worth paying more for the Perfect Pixel versions or is just a way to sell more expensive?

Took about a week to get it. They dont actually have them on hand, so it took em a few days to get it in, then another day to test. But once shipped it took 2 days to get to US.

I wouldnt bother with perfect pixel, unless it also guarantees perfect color/backlight etc. I didnt get ANY dead pixels but I've noticed on white backgrounds, the bottom 1/4 of the screen has a slight yellow color shift whereas the top 3/4 is more neutral. Not a biggie but just hope everyones aware of the faults. These are "A-" panels for reasons besides dead pixels IMO.

Just checked. When buying from Korea and including 23% VAT the cost is equal to buying Dell 2713HM locally. Question is, which one is better?

Dell no doubt. For some reason I thought it was a 6bit-dither but nope, it's an 8-bit panel. No doubt Dell is the better screen.

In terms of image quality? Neither.

Both are 8-bit, both are ever so slightly behind the old 2711, both have good contrast level and black levels, both are well under 1 dE once calibrated. Keep in mind that this *is* the same panel as the 2711, but rather than A grade it's A- grade; meaning that its brightness is slightly lower than the 2711 amongst other things. But so is the 2713HM's so it doesn't matter.

So in the end it depends on whether you want that potentially higher refresh rate versus a slightly better build (as the Dell still has the USB ports, DP and a proper OSD+controls).

Edit: to clarify the A- bit btw; it essentially means that it's not pixel perfect. There may be dead pixels for example, luminance may not be optimal, etcetera. They are by no means broken or bad panels, just not good enough for the manufacturers to put into their own, top of the line ranges. When selling these panels (i.e. to Dell) they are also a lot more expensive because the manufacturer (in this case LG) guarantees it'll work without dead pixels and at the top of its specs Smile
