It bothered me for like 1 day, but i got used to it. Glossy panel is the most annoying, dont like it all.

Depends on the lighting conditions of your work space. If you do not site behind or right below a strong light, glossy screen is not a problem.

I would have to get rid of the scanner on my desk... It is kinda just attracting the dust tbh :\

Yeah, but U2713H is around $1000 if I'm not mistaken...

By the specs the main difference seems to be color depth (10 bit vs 8 bit)...
The HM also has a reported response time of 8 ms against 6ms on the other one.
The HM should be a "lesser" model, but I don't know what that means besides those specs.
Edit: It also seems that the 2713H has an DP out connection to output the image to another screen. The HM doesn't seem to have that.

I dont think anyone who does not use a screen for professional photography or anything alike will ever notice the difference between 8 and 10bit. A good 8bit panel is more than enough for the average user.

Ah, ok. While I personally prefer to have a true 8bit monitor myself (even if its just for the feeling) I cant say I see much of a difference with 6bit + dithering on a friends monitor. prad.de gives the U2713HM a good 5/5 and I trust prad.de on their expertise.
Also, what does tftcentral do, saying its 8bit?

A google search tells the U2412M is 6-bit, but didn't show U2713HM is. But all the M models use similar panels, no?

It's a LM270WQ1 panel from LG, and tftcentrals list says, all the panels that begin with LM270WQ1 are either 8bit or 8-bit+A-FRC. So it should be a true 8bit panel.

I just picked up a U2713HM and it was delivered yesterday. Haven't had too much time with it but from what I've seen, it's freaking glorious. Very nice display.

I had to decide between the U2713HM and the Asus PB278Q and went for the Asus. Theres really not much difference, just that the Asus has a slight faster response time, which i prefer for gaming. The Dell has a better way to handle pixel refresh cycles, as the Asus uses PWM (Pulse width modulation), which seems to cause some eye strain for some. No problem for me so far...
