i would actually like to see this film, but these film makers need to rethink their tiers
there's been many film projects that collapse because of silly pricing
i'm not paying movie ticket money for a one time documentary like this
there was also that kickstarter game that got on steam in the fall and was cheaper than the cheapest kickstarter tier
i like to support things but i should not be punished for it

Punished? It's up to you to support it through kickstarter or wait for it to finish and get it at whatever price they set. The two are completely separate.

if you have someone support you financially to do the project, there should be some encouragement for them to do it.
same as what botanicula did... they had a preorder price and then it was on humble bundle on day 1 for pennies.
people were furious.
if this becomes a trend, less people will get on board expecting to be screwed over and kickstarter is no longer a viable alternative funding method.
i want kickstarter-type funding to be a real alternative in the future so things like this frustrate me greatly.
