I need a Z77 mobo, price up to 150€, good for OC. Thinking between Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H and ASRock Fatality Pro-M, any other sugestions? Thanks Smile

Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 is for its price very good. Used for years P67 version of that.

Yup, can't get much better than that when it comes to bang for the buck.

Still using P67 Extreme 6 myself.

One thing tho i dont like about Asrock boards, there is pretty huge vdroop after certain point (1.4v+). On my MIVE, voltage is stable as rock.

The Asus PZ77's are consistantly some of the highest rated. Further, Asus has by far the best UEFI bios interface of any manufacturer IMO.

If you want to know about the OCing potential, take a look at this list:

If you want to OC much, then (according to this list) I'd prefer the Extreme 6 over the Extreme 4 (The Z68 and P67 Extreme 4 actually had better quality components than the Z77 Extreme 4 has). Or (for your pricerange) you can also get the ASUS P8Z77-V, it's got approximately the same overclocking potential than the Extreme6 but comes with a bgn Wifi-module and Intel Lan (instead of broadcom) but costs approximately 15€ more than ASROCK Extreme6.

Just some tips.

I haven't had any issues like that atleast on my board Surprised

Running 5GHz at 1.46V and not the slightest VDroop.

ga-z77-ds3h rev. 1.1 - 120 euros

rev 1.0 dont have option to raise voltage to cpu

Why walk, when you can ride.

If you could bring your budget upto 165€ you could get AsRock Z77 Extreme 6 which is one of the best motherboards you can find one the marget and VERY good for overclocking.

Not really worth it... These are the differences compared to Extreme 4.

- DisplayPort with max. resolution up to 2560x1600 @ 60Hz
- Extra 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x1 slot & 1 x mini-PCI Express slot
- Etron EJ168A controller instead of the Extreme4s Asmedia ASM1042
- Z68 Extreme4 style MOSFET heatsinks
- Front panel USB3

Probably then it would be worth it, if running CPU with water or even LN2 volts (in this point you would be using the best available anyway Very Happy).

Here to correct myself: They both got the same power phase design BUT the Extreme 6 has EXTREMELY better MOSFETs than the Extreme 4 does, if you overclock then I wouldn't waste money on Z77 E4 like I did Sad

Only if I knew before buying.
