Though i do expect a movie named Lincoln to be about his life and doings and not just about what he has done.

I haven't seen it btw.

well what would you expect? it's about the slavery/war. it's not gonna go deep into his life it's gonna go on about the choices he has to make and what sacrifices need to be done. though it sucks that it ends with the movie theatre bit. (i'm assuming since it's part of history) but then why not make like a 4 hour biopic? y'know. Sad i'm sure it's good. spielberg can't really disappoint. and ddl is a god among actors. Might watch it this weekend. I really do hope it's not just another oscar grab Sad

Yeah, I quite enjoyed it actually, but in the end so much is still unknown.

That's fine and all, but i stand by what i said. When Spielberg name it "Lincoln" it should be about his life and doings, if they want to focus entirely on 1 thing he has done Spielberg should have named it differently, like for example: "Lincoln - something clever about freeing slaves"

While watching Dredd, I mostly enjoyed watching Cersei's scar change in every odd scene... it kept reminding me of prince John's mole in Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Too bad it stayed on the same spot Wink

Cloud Atlas - Too hard to rate/10

Very ambitious movie, pretentious even..but also extremely fascinating and visionary. It alternated moments of brilliance with underwhelming scenes/less inspired characters, but it was to be expected, since the scope here is really huge.

Even with all the imperfections the experiment worked on me though, I let myself go with the flow without rationalizing too much and in the end, I definitely enjoyed it. Razz If I had to rate it, I'd say something 8-ish.

Pierce Brosnan is the worst bond in my opinion. I can buy him as a suave womanizer - but a bad ass agent? No, he's just not a tough guy. The movies were silly - but unlike the silly Moore movies, they weren't obviously silly - so they were just awful insteadl. Goldeneye is OKish, I guess - but I didn't much like it.

Funny thing is that I really like Brosnan in his other films, especially his latest work. He's a fantastic actor, but he's not Bond as I imagine him to be.

and compared to the classics neither is craig... Neutral

dalton is the best bond. brosnan is ok. goldeneye with the plane scene = bond. other movies not so much. they were too simple and way too complicated at the same time. Neutral it's like they came up with a simple plot but gave a 3 year old the creative control over the bad guys. Neutral it was just disjointed. and the bond girls in the brosnan movies were dreadful Sad

Total Recall - I have no idea why this new version was slated so much, and a quick check on IMDB shocks me! It really wasn't bad, at all. Great SFX and audio, story is as you'd expect. Limited on plot holes and Bryan Cran .. need I say more?! Either way, it was solid, 7.5/10

Deliciously cynical and with a vicious streak of dark humour, this was a surprising, if not particularly subtle treat.

I grabbed the "peasant" 720p version that was released some days ago ( Cloud.Atlas.2012.RC.720p.BluRay.x264.STUDIO.AUDIO.AC3-BiDA ). Not bad for my not-so-high standards grinhurt
