Armor value caps at 80% resistance which was something like 560 AR in a non-modded game, I'm not quite sure how it worked again but I do know you cap out way before you reach Daedric.
(You can reach the cap in normal iron armor with good smith skills and upgraded items.)
This was one of the first things that the various balance mods altered from what I remember.
(Usually by lowering armor rating but also by changing how much is needed to reach those 80% but again I'm not quite sure how it works.)
Anyway with crafting you can take any item and upgrade it to be the best possible, base quality doesn't really matter.

Archery is MUCH more effective by itself when compared to the previous games IMO, ended up dropping alchemy because most poisons felt useless.
Might pick it up for a 2nd playthrough though, some cool stuff like a certain ingredient boosting the poison damage much more than the other (river betty had some wicked damage health effect when compared to other ingredients with the same effect, for instance).

The unofficial ones are better though... or so they say. I just used the 2K ones.

They are, quality wise, but last thing I heard is none of those packs include near the amount of textures covered by the official pack. So best thing to do is to edit your SkyrimPrefs.ini (the one in the game install folder) to include the official packs from there and uncheck them in the Skyrim Launcher, so you can have both the unofficial hd textures and the official hd ones for the rest.

Well I'm of the same mindset as Aeon. For me most rpg nowadays (there's a shitload of them released every year) are basically the same boring and repetitive fantasy themed crap. But of course normally every year there's a decent subset of really excellent role playing games.
To name a few in the recent years: The Witcher 1/2, TES Oblivion/Skyrim, Dragon Age Origins, Mass Effect 1/2, also probably Dark Souls (which i'm about to start playing) and Legends of Grimrock, etc.

So basically what you are saying is, if an RPG is good, you will like it, but otherwise you hate RPGs.

Are you saying you hated those that I quoted? If so, you didn't word your post properly.

But why are you still avoiding the question? Did you like them or not?

@Aeon Yep, the high-res pack was released as DLC. But you should also get the Skyrim HD mod for 4K/2K textures.

So what I said is true. You like the good RPGs but hate the bad. I hate first person shooters in general too, except the good ones.

I mean seriously wtf is that, once you get daedric stuff you cant find anything better ??!?!?!?!?! You cant find any legendary and unique stuff from exploring cause everything will be shit compared to daedric, so basically after around 25 hours of gameplay 6 months ago I found all the good things and rest of 100 hours to play is just doing quest and collecting money for nothing ? This is just retarded |
flawed game is flawed, loot wise. Doesnt help that you can only craft/enchant the best armors/weapons for the most part. Whats the point of this big world and cool dungeons if theres nothing worth exploring them for.

Thats what I mean, there should be so many new and awesome unique armors and weapons with cool looks and yet you just craft stuff, wear it, explore the word and after defeating every new oponent you just look at his equipment and think "meh nothing worth even selling" and now I kind of lost some fun in this game if I know I wont find anything better:(

Install mods that make high-end gear Really rare (as it's supposed to be, imo), tweaks blacksmithing+enchanting to be not stupidly broken, and get one that turns off auto-levelling the world while you're at it.
