I've gotten some steamworks titles there, but this is the thread about the steam sale, not how to get a game cheap on steam at another service.
Steam can still be taken to task for the service they directly provide, which is subpar compared to the service they used to provide, plain and simple.

Actually, I'd guess it's you who are trolling since you're being intentionally obtuse.
Only the worst trolls or someone who has been kicked in the head by a horse could think the steam sales that have happened this year are remotely as good as the steam sales that have happened in the past.
This year the sales are:
1)Repetitive as fuck. There were games in the summer sale that ended up on sale 3-4 times each and there was a lot of them.
2)The special bonuses and things are gone.
3)Some of the really crazy sales just don't seem to be materializing at all this year.
Already this sale we've had games that were on the community choice offered up the next day as flash sales, and games that were on regular sale yesterday being put on community choice today. Such a massive catalogue of games, and they can't come up with like 15-18 unique games a day?
This is the acting equivalent of phoning it in.

I played the yarr version some weeks ago and found it quite stable (no major bugs encountered). The graphics on the other hand are still "hit and miss", with the bad LOD and overall consolish look even with bloom/mblur disabled. I guess we have to deal with that.  |

So, yall reckon that there will be a bigger discount on Dead Isalnd or is -66% the best it's gonna get (asking cause I don't have a lot of history with Steam sales). Not that I'm cheap, but it's Christmas and I've already grabbed a few things.
